Calling out & challenging the Social Justice Warriors - SuperflyOz 75 12/9/2018
Social Justice Warriors are being called out on SuperflyOz podcast No. 75. These "warriros" - individuals and small groups that constitently attack or addresses anyting they find inappropriate or triggering in their minds. They choose to repatedly bash in a fast and furious way of an issue with the intent to obliterate the offensive item, and then jump on their train and roll onto the next issue that these warriors want to take on. SuperflyOz calls out Social Justice Warriors, telling them that real social change in our nation and around the world takes more than a 15 minute yell-fest and tweeting out their outrage, and having it repeated, on Twitter. SuperflyOz shows this off with a parallel to a real social movement that did everlasting and positive change in the world. SuperflyOz highlights the 40-year effort by those around the world to change the rule of South Africa from minority white rule to majority black rule. The effort to make that happen took decades with generations of activists taking up the call to see that the final goal - a South Africa ruled by the majority - took place. This type of effort, SuperflyOz then shows, is not anywhere close to the dedication of these Warriors who are now making noise over whatever the offended item of the day is. Show intro and outro music is: Intro: South African Anthem to 1994; Outro: South African Anthem, 1994 to present. The SuperflyOz podcast is owned, produced and directed by Stan Fichtman.

Be right & #BeeKind - SuperflyOz 59 7/28/2018
This week's show focuses both on how one legislator in Hawaii is asking other legislators to be right in their critique of the Governor, and another person how they plan to spread kindness on their little yellow Vespa Scooter across the United States. We first read a letter from Sen. Laura Thielen of the Hawaii State Senate, calling out other woman leaders in Hawaii for their criticism of Gov. David Ige's recent commercial stating to Colleen Hanabusa "Criticism isn't Leadership" and saying that his attack is sexist. She points out that these leaders whom are pointing a finger at the Governor are also at the same time pointing three fingers back at themselves for their hypocracy. Thank you to Sen. Thielen for allowing SuperflyOz to read that letter on air. We then shift focus to a gentlemen who, next week, will embark on a cross country tour in a yellow Vespa called "Bee Kind" and spread a philosophy of kindness and help to places across the US. Jeff Lenhart will be getting out of his comfort bubble in working at the Dubuque St. Mission in Dubuque, Iowa, and going from the East to the West coast in a Vespa spreading kindness. SuperflyOz asks if your interested in helping Jeff to seek out his Facebook page and see if he could come to Hawaii. The SuperflyOz podcast is owned, produced and directed by Stan Fichtman.

Infrastructure in Hawaii - SuperflyOz 58 7/22/2018
In late June, 2018, seven candidates - FOR HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL Tommy Waters Natalie Iwasa Trevor Ozawa FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 17 Alan Yim Gene Ward FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 18 Mark Hashem and Ola Souza Who are running for various city and state offices to represent the East Honolulu area were at a forum at the Hawaii Kai Neighborhood Board. One question that came up - what is their visions for infrastructure (roads, sewers, etc) was asked. You will find that the answers were varied, and in some cases, candidates used it to talk about non-infrastructure related issues and try to tie it back. One candidate out of the seven was one that SuperflyOz points out as being the only one that really answers the question intelligently. This is an important issue as road, sewer and water infrastructure is a key item that needs leadership in order for it to continue a certain quality of life in Hawaii. This is a issue you will want to hear what the candidates say! The SuperflyOz podcast is owned, produced and directed by Stan Fichtman.

Sports, Culture and Arts in Hawaii - SuperflyOz 57 7/14/2018
SuperflyOz was pleased to sit down with former Hawaii State Senator Will Espero back in March for a wide ranging interview. One of the topics that he was passionate about was the idea of enhancing the tourism trade in Hawaii by emphasizing and growing the sports, culture and arts factors for Hawaii to become a culture and arts hub and a destination for sports programs from throughout. January Thirteenth, 2018 at 8:07 a.m. - SuperflyOz Podcast for 1/15/2018
SuperflyOz takes a very close look at what happened on the morning of January 13, 2018 when a false alarm warning went out across Hawaii, telling people that there was a ballistic missile headed toward the state. SuperflyOz takes the entire issue and provides analysis through the Junior Chamber of Commerce's "Active Citizen Framework" which provides where the root cause of what happened that morning should be looked at by lawmakers, pundits and the citizenry of Hawaii. SuperflyOz also lets you know that there is a cheap way to refresh your iPhone6S for about $30 bucks. Make sure you listen to the first part of the show for that. The SuperflyOz podcast is owned, produced and directed by Stan Fichtman.
