Improve Your Start - STI 03
How to improve your start - Just Start You do not have to try to be perfect in the beginning. This is your time to make mistakes and to learn from those mistakes and get better. This is your time to figure out what works and what doesn't. - Don't wait to be good to start. You're not going to get good unless you start. You can't improve on what you haven't started on. You don't have to be great to get started, but you do have to start to be great. You can’t get good at things unless you have done it over and over again. Each time you do it you tweak it and you get better. You have to start some place, sometimes you just have to go for it even if you don’t have it all figured out. Don’t worry about perfection. If you analyze things too much you are going to suffer from paralysis by analysis. You have to overcome the paralysis you create by worrying about perfection. You will never get started because you are waiting for things to be just right. So many of us do not start, because we feel like it’s not right yet, I don’t know enough yet, it’s not perfect yet, I need to fix this first, I need to become the expert, I need to learn more, I need more followers, I need more time, I need a bigger email list. In our heads we are always thinking about someone who might know more than us, someone that might be better than us, someone who might analyze our words, our typos the way we do things. You know what. People will find things to complain about and nitpick about even if it is perfect. You cannot and will not please everybody. These are usually people who they themselves have so much time to nitpick your stuff because they’re not creating their own stuff because they’re paralyzed by perfectionism. We can be paralyzed by our fears that someone is going to say that was bad, that could have been better. When it comes to ourselves that fear, that little voice inside ourselves can be turned up so loud that we do not take action. That fear prevents people from living the life they deserve; from taking that life you have designed in your mind or on paper, from taking steps to achieve your goals. This fear prevents you from starting and from executing. Don't listen to that voice because it will rob you of your greatness. It will rob other people from the opportunity of being able to connect with you. It will keep you from the opportunity to share your gift. Every Time you find the courage to take action in spite of your fear you will grow and yo

Improve with a Personal Development Plan - STI 02
Improve with a Personal Development Plan This is a podcast about personal development, but….What is personal development? What does it mean to grow? Personal development is simply a process of improving yourself in order to achieve your goals and dreams. Without a personal growth plan, can you reach your full potential? No! I don’t think you can. Yes, you can still succeed, but not to your full potential. Personal development is about identifying your gaps in your skills and experiences and about creating an action plan that will fill them in, so that you start to move closer to your end goal.Anything is possible if you are willing to do the work to achieve it. To achieve something you have never achieved before, you must become a person you have never been before. The way to do this is through personal development. Ask yourself where do I need to enhance my knowledge the most? Once you answer this question then find the material you need in order to become a better you. Listen to podcasts, listen to audio books, take online courses, read a minimum of one book per month, but preferably more. You must make the decision to seek out and experience growth daily. No one can make this decision for you. Develop a personal growth plan, set growth goals and intentionally decide to make a change. It has been said that your income is a direct reflection of your own personal development. It’s when you work on yourself and improve yourself that your skills get better and everything in general improves. We must remember that we all have strengths, but no one is perfect. Every one of us can improve and be more effective. Those who succeed the most are those who always improve themselves and apply what they learn. Personal development is a journey, not a destination. Most people learn by doing. It takes time and practice to achieve specific goals. Don’t expect instant perfection when trying to apply or learn new skills. It’s unfair to be too hard on yourself the first time you attempt something new. It’s not necessary to do everything exactly right the first time. I use this podcast as an example. Each day you can become a little bit better than you were yesterday. The more you do it the easier it gets or the more comfortable you are with it. All highly successful people continually search for ways to keep learning, growing, and improving. The day you stop growing is the beginning of the end of your success. So why do you need a personal development

8 Steps To Change Anything In Your Life - STI 01
8 steps to Change Anything in Your Life 1. You must Decide what you really want and you have to figure out what is preventing you from having it. Before you can change you must know what you want and where you want to go. This step is crucial. 2. Find your WHY! This is where you need to dig deep to find your reason you want to change. When things get tough your why will keep you from giving up. I promise you that there will be times when you will want to stop, when you will want to give up because change is hard, change is not natural. Remember why you want to change. 3. Get Leverage: Associate massive pain to not changing now and associate pleasure to the experience of changing now. In other words, think about the pain staying the same, of staying in your comfort zone and think about the pleasure of going out and accomplishing your goal. Use pain to your advantage. Use the pain of not achieving your goal to motivate the change. 4. Focus on where you want to go and not on what you fear. Run in the direction of your fear not from it. Do not let fear keep you from achieving your goal. I promise you that the pain of regret will be much worse than the pain of facing your fear. 5. Be Determined!! You must do this to succeed. Do not give up. Giving up is not an option. Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. Go back to step number 2 and remember your why. 6. Ask the right questions. If you want the right answers, you have to learn how to ask the right questions. The most effective and empowering questions create value. “You don’t have to have the answer to ask a great question,” “A great question will get an great answer.” 7. Learn from someone else who has made a positive change in their life. Surround yourself with like-minded people and people that will motivate and support you. If you can’t find someone in person to learn from then you can read and you can also do what you are doing now and listen to Podcasts. This is a FREE and very effective way to learn. Learning is great and is important, but learning without action is meaningless. 8. Get excited and take action! Do something every day to move you closer to your goal of change. Both of these go together, if you first get excited then it will be easier to take action. Everyday ask yourself What can I do today to move me closer to my goal and then do it! Do not suffer from paralysis by analysis as I have done many ti
