Josh Woodward: Turning a 5% chance into the pursuit of a lifelong goal
Josh is a dad of two and has been on a quest to achieve his goal of producing hip-hop. On February 7, 2019, he was diagnosed with a severe case of sepsis and was given just a 5% chance of survival. His battle has resulted in losing part of his right arm and leg along with all the toes on his left foot. In other words, he is now a double (and a half) amputee. Fast forward to today, Josh has fully recovered and is pursuing his goal of becoming a hip-hop artist. He will also share the perspective he has gained as a dad and how it has impacted him and his family. Proudly wearing multiple Syracuse tattoos, Mike also named his daughter Cuse and his dog JoeyG3 (after Syracuse point guard, Joe Girard). In January 2020, Mike received news that he has stage 4 adenocarcinoma, a non-small cell lung cancer. In the fight his life, Mike shares the perspective he has gained being a dad and shares how has been able to appreciate the little and deeper moments he spends with his family during his battle.
