It's been a little over a year since the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others. Drawing inspiration from the Mamba Mentality, Steve gets back in the booth to reflect on one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Over Christmas break, Brian and I had taken a three day vacation to Orlando for two days of Universal Studios and a day at Epcot and MGM.  On this episode we talk about the trip and dish out plenty of "Pro Tips" on navigating these massive parks.  There should be plenty here for you to nod along to if you're thinking about a future trip or have enjoyed it in the past.

Hey everybody.  I went on a "vacation" to Denver last weekend to see old friends and I got a little more than I bargained for.  Through drinking and camping (in the legit wilderness) I definitely put myself through the ringer and in this episode, I recap all of that.  A couple near-death experiences out in the rocky mountains will make you appreciate life. All that said, I can't wait to get back out there again.  Place is a trip.

Last weekend I was at my buddy Matt Defranco's apartment to watch the Mayweather fight.  Before the main event we did this podcast where we strictly discuss rap/hip hop.  It's a love letter of sorts.  It's all about the start of how we got into the music.  A lot of talk about 90's and early 2000's hip hop, ya know, when rap was actually solid.  We even listen to an "auditory collage" of favorite moments of old rap songs at the start of the episode to get us (you) pumped on the convo.  Go on this trip straight through memory lane!   (also in the conversation is Cocuzza (AC Slates), Rook,  and Brother Brian)

Kevin is an old friend of ours. Hey gang, Steve here.  The first podcast I got into was probably WTF with Marc Maron.  Not only was I entertained and inspired by his interviews, but I felt a natural compulsion to do what he was doing.  I've been doing my own podcast for a little while now and this particular episode really calls to mind the framework of any given WTF episode.  It's not copying Maron's style, just an homage that is a product of said inspiration.  I enjoyed talking to Pat here about what it's like for a young man to be teaching a high school english class.  We also hashed out the greatest obsession in human history.  Oh, and Pat plays a couple of his songs live in studio, and seriously, the guy is really good.  Check out this link here if you don't believe me Pat Phelan "Waziristan"

It's been a while but fear not, listeners, Steve In The Raw is back and better than ever.  This episode kicks off Season 2 with Steve and the boys, no special guests.  It's basically Steve going over all of his dilemmas in life, figuring out whether or not he is a sociopath, and generally hoping that he IS a good guy who just wants people to be happy.  Laugh, pity him, either way just enjoy!!

Steve returns home from his sojourn in Alaska to celebrate Thanksgiving AND do a podcast with Adam and Brian, the two people who with him comprise...THE BROTHERS MCDAN!!  This is the start of the return of Steve In The Raw.  Come, shake the rust off, hear how everybody's been doing and rejoice with the Springsteen karaoke at the end!

As you may or may not have noticed, Steve hasn't podcasted in a while.  He is rusty.  He has no game plan about what he wants to talk about.  Brother Brian and Producer/Friend Adam are in the room.  You'll find typical sleazy Steve in the Raw-type rants here but the gang also gets heartfelt as a reaction to some things that have happened recently and also to some things that are happening in the near future.  

Perhaps the most volatile episode of SITR so far.  Stef is back on the podcast with a little help from a friend.  Does she get by?  Mmmmm, yes and NO.  The feminism begins to boil over at times while Steve does his best to keep it at bay and really only exacerbate the situation, repeatedly.  I LOVE EVERYONE  Get this on iTunes if you have apple products or get it on Stitcher if you have Droid stuff.
