I have been challenged with depression and the thoughts and actions that take me to a dark place for more than half my life. Facing those memories and actions that can draw me there has not been easy.  I was not able to wish it away or pray it away.  It took work with a counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist and prayer.  It is my relationship with God that sustains me, but when I need to go to counseling, I do not hesitate.
