RWN - Puerto Rico: Is the US really trying to help?
Puerto Rico: Is the US really trying to help? For 3.4 million US citizens, only a quarter of Puerto Rico residents have running water. Less than half of gas stations are open. Most supermarkets are open but rationing food.  Hospitals and food banks are running low on fuel for their generators to keep the lights on and preserve fruits, veggies and meat, and recovery continues to move at a glacial pace.  And while the balance of people’s lives are at stake, President Donald Trump felt the need to lambasted the mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulin Cruz, for "poor leadership."   Why aren’t greater efforts being made to assist the people of Puerto Rico?  Has the US government made every pain staking effort to help these US Citizens? Join Reggie Kearney and Chara Ann Tappin on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 5:30pm PT/8:30pm ET, as they discuss the dyer needs of Puerto Rico, and what the US government is doing to help.   Listen and join the conversation by calling (646)200-3148.  Or listen online and join the chatroom conversation here on Blog Talk Radio.  Or access the show by going to www.hottopicstalkradio.com/RealWorldNews.html. RWN - Dreamers: An Immigration Nightmare
Dreamers: An Immigration Nightmare Today, there are hundreds of thousands of "Dreamers" facing the possibility of having to leave the only home they've ever really known after President Donald Trump moved to end DACA, the Obama-era program that protects people brought into the U.S. illegally as children from being deported. According to the latest federal figures, approximately 800,000 people have been approved for DACA since it began and roughly 690,000 are currently enrolled in the program.  If Congress doesn't take action before March, when Trump plans to begin phasing DACA's protections out, Dreamers could face deportation, regardless of their skin color or country of origin. HTTR - That’s not my child! - Why should I have to pay?
That’s not my child! - Why should I have to pay?   Tonight’s show comes from Rollin Dee’s Facebook page: “If a Married Man Has a Child with Another Woman..Should the Wife be Responsible with Helping Pay his Child Support?” This question set off a fire-storm of very strong opinions and comments.  Some responded with a simple “No”, while others vehemently opposed financial support of a child that was fathered from a previous relationship or fathered outside the marriage.  So what do you think?  Are you able to financially support a child that is not yours?  What would be the circumstances of you assuming responsibility for a child that lives outside your home? RWN - Right or Left: Which Way is the Country Going?
Right or Left: Which Way is the Country Going?   In light of the recent events of racial tension in Charlottesville, Virginia, and with the shake-ups in the White House, there shouldn’t be any doubt that people all over the country are feeling the uncertainty of their future. With the tug-of-war going on between the left (Democrats) and the right (Republicans) there is no question that many Americans, who have witnessed the lack of leadership and turmoil of the Trump administration, are feeling the spoils of racial divide and bigotry.   Is this country leaning to the left or to the right in its core values?  Is it a right or left issue as to where this country stands at its present? Join Reggie Kearney and Chara Ann Tappin on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 5:30pm PDT/8:30pm EDT, as they examine the most current and disturbing issues of our government’s history as many try to figure out where our country’s future is headed. Is going out too much affecting your relationship?   When entering into a relationship, some men and women feel that it’s time to give up certain things they were doing when they were living the single life.  Of course, with commitment, comes changes in lifestyle.  However, there are some who feel that hanging out with friends and hitting the nightclubs is no big deal, as long as they head home when the fun is over - no harm, no foul. HTTR - Who pays for the date?
Who pays for the date?   Rollin Dee recently posted the following question on his Facebook page: “Ladies when you all ask a Brother out on a Date, does that Mean You're Paying??” This question met for a firestorm of responses.  Some ladies feel that if she asks a man out, that she should pay.  While others feel it should be the man, or a 50/50 split.  Traditionally, men would assume the financial responsibility of picking up the tag, but today, more and more, women and men are splitting the cost of entertaining their date.  Have the tradition of dating become totally obsolete?  And why? Join Toni Breedlove and Rollin Dee on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 8pm PDT/ 10pm CDT/ 11pm EDT, as they discuss the world of dating and who should be responsible for picking up the tab.      You are invited to listen and join this very controversial conversation by calling (646)200-3148.  Or listen online and join the chatroom here on Blog Talk Radio.  You may also access the link to listen by going to www.hottopicstalkradio.com/hottopicstalkradio.html. HTTR - Are Black Men prepared for marriage?
Are Black Men prepared for marriage? Although most black women and men would have strong opinions to the title of tonight’s show, there is more to this question… and that MORE comes from the following statement/post recently seen on Facebook: “DO NOT worry about black “men” not choosing you.  Most aren’t prepared for marriage & choose OTHERS for SEX (or apartment/money)”. Does this statement lead you to believe that black women should give up on finding a black husband?  Does it mean that black men are only seeking what can be monetarily gained from a woman?  Or is it stating the most black men are the only ones who are not prepared for the commitment of marriage?   Join Toni Breedlove and Rollin Dee on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 8pm PDT/ 10pm CDT/ 11pm EDT, as they examine the preparedness of black men when it comes to marriage, and if  the statement above is another way of demeaning the black man’s purpose when it relates to marriage, or even relationships.      You are invited to listen and join this very controversial conversation by calling (646)200-3148.  Or listen online and join the chatroom here on Blog Talk Radio You may also access the link to listen by going to www.hottopicstalkradio.com/hottopicstalkradio.html. RWN - Roll-Back of the Civil Right Movement
Roll-Back of the Civil Right Movement For decades, the Department of Justice has used court-enforced agreements to protect civil rights, successfully desegregating school systems, reforming police departments, ensuring access for the disabled and defending religious practices. Now, under Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the DOJ appears to be turning away from this storied tool, called consent decrees. Top officials in the DOJ civil rights division have issued verbal instructions through the ranks to seek settlements without consent decrees — which would result in no continuing court oversight.  What does this mean for US citizens?   Join Reggie Kearney and Chara Ann Tappin on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 5:30pm PDT/8:30pm EDT, as they discuss and breakdown what these roll backs mean and how it affects our civil rights and liberties.   Listen and join the conversation by calling (646)200-3148.  Or listen online and join the chatroom conversation here on Blog Talk Radio.  Or access the show by going to www.hottopicstalkradio.com/RealWorldNews.html. He Said, She Said: A Break-Down in Communication When speaking of issues that are important to the success of relationships, the majority of both men and women would say that communication is the key, right?  Well, for reasons unknown, there seems to be a huge difference in how each communicates.  This was proven on last weeks show. HTTR - When it all Goes Bad: Relationship Intentions
When it all Goes Bad: Relationship Intentions By now, those who follow reality tv, have heard about the tumultuous relationship and break-up between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.  Of course, like any relationship, things began on a dream-like note, but over the course of one year, the relationship has turned into a public drama of mud slinging, lawyer battles and court ordered restraining orders. When news broke of the couple’s final farewell, many questioned Blac Chyna’s intentions of entering into a relationship with the wealthy Rob Kardashian. Although we cling to the drama of these two reality stars, their story translates to what happens everyday in “real life”. Relationships go bad everyday, but do we truly look at the true intentions of our proposed mates when they enter into a relationship with us? Man 2 Man - The Things Women Do That Upset Men
The Things Women Do That Upset Men In most cases, women bare no secrets when it comes to expressing what men do to upset or making them angry.  But, in the case of men, they seem to hold back when it comes to expressing what women do to upset them. This is where the term “women are from venus, and men are from Mars” comes into play.  Men and women have completely different ways of expressing what upsets them about the opposite sex.   On this episode of Man 2 Man Radio, Richard Hall and Chris Smith will be delving into the “Things Women Do that Upset Men”.   Listen and join the conversation on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 7pm PDT/ 9pm CDT/ 10pm EDT.
