Techcyte began as an idea to classify white blood cells using computer vision from Dr. Mohamed Salama which was purchased by Ralph Yarro in a technology transfer from the University of Utah in 2013. Since that initial idea, Techcyte has led the cellular digital pathology revolution by combining the knowledge and skills of a lab professional or pathologist with the latest deep learning technologies to provide the healthcare industries with digital diagnostic solutions. Techcyte believes that individual cells hold clues to diagnosing disease.
