Monica speaks to Lane Ronnow who is running for Mayor of St George. About Lane Ronnow: Lane Ronnow, Executive Producer and Host of "A Story to Tell", a thirty minute television interview show, broadcast from the campus of Dixie State University. Lane was educated at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah; with continuing education at the University of Utah College of Law and UCLA Extension Department. Lane has over forty years management, consulting, and broadcast media experience. Lane has served as a Justice Court Judge in Salt Lake County, Utah. His career also includes Department Director in a county government, CFO for School Districts, Housing Authorities, Behavioral Health Management Companies, and consulting work for businesses and governmental agencies. Lane is a “National Award of Merit” winner for “Administrative Innovation” presented by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Lane's Membership and Participation in Professional and Community Organizations include: The American Public Works Association International Conference of Building Officials Association of School Business Officials National Journalistic Society National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials The California Disabilities Services Association President of the Bakersfield Youth Symphony Board of Directors Board of Directors, The Kern County Hispanic Commission on Drug and Alcohol Abuse Member of the St. George Art Museum Advisory Board. Lane has interviewed, on "A Story to Tell", over two hundred people; and has become friends with them all. Including but not limited to: Senators Orrin Hatch, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Governor Gary Herbert, Congressman Chris Stewart, Utah State Attorney General Sean Reyes, State Representatives Greg Hughes, Lowery Snow, Brad Last, Walt Brooks, and State Senator Don Ipson. Along with most of the state, local, and county wide Republican, Democratic, and Independent. Candidates for election in Washington County and the City of St. George, Utah. As well as many ordinary people like the rest of us. Interviews, with those who are no longer with us include: Becky Lockhart, former Speaker of the Utah House. Former Utah Governors Norman Bangerter and Olene Walker, the only woman to serve as Governor of the Great State of Utah. Personal: Lane Ronnow was born in Cedar City, Utah; and currently resides in St. George, Utah. He has been happily married for over 30 years; with seven children, and twelve grand children. Though some of his life has been spent in Nevada, Arizona, California, and Canada; Utah is where he calls home.
