Ep 112: Nadine Nettmann, author of the Sommelier Mystery Series
Shannon sits down over a nice Argentinean red blend with mystery author and certified Sommelier Nadine Nettmann. They talk about staying motivated to follow your dreams, travelling French wine regions in a van for 32 days, whether boxed wine should have drinking straws stuck to the back like juice boxes, and so much more. Ep 111: “Where do you get a child’s size ankle-length leather jacket, by the way?” Kim and Scout from 9 O’Clock Bedtime Cosplay
“Unicorn Farts is the Highest Compliment we can Give Chris Pratt.” Children truly are the future and in this episode, Scout McAndrew gives us some great wisdom. Shannon interviews her and her mom, Kim Henderson McAndrew, the dynamic duo that makes up 9 O’Clock Bedtime Cosplay. The interview is as much fun as you can have WITHOUT having a pillow fight. (We should have also just had a pillow fight. Why didn’t we?) Also: WONDER WOMAN RULES!!! It took so long for me to edit it that sadly, Roe Dameron the guinea pig is no longer with us. RIP, Roe.

Ep 110: Phalluses of Logic
Holy SH*T what is even going on in US politics right now! Shannon discusses this, as well as ancient Greek phalluses, internal biases toward tall people, the musical Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812, and her bad Australian accent. All, unfortunately, perfectly sober.

Ep 109: “I will let the people who need to punch Nazis punch Nazis, and then I will give them a bag of treats when they’re finished.” Jack Kelly
This week, after processing the week’s crazy events (which crazy events this time?) Shannon talks to Jack Kelly (17:29), who she originally “met” by hearing them talk on NPR about something called Hamiltunes. Jack explains what Hamiltunes is and how it was conceived and why it resonates with people and what it was like to (squeeee!) meet Lin-Manuel Miranda in real life (22:46). Jack talks about how it’s been difficult to learn to use his singing voice again while transitioning (32:42). They discuss some philosophical questions about the Harry Potter universe and of course, Shannon has to ask what house Jack identifies with (45:20). Jack discusses whether he is more comfortable punching Nazis or offering empathy and support (1:00:10). Together, they hate on comedians who think they are being “brave” by making racist, sexist, homophobic etc. jokes and discuss the difference between punching up and punching down in comedy (1:05:54). Shannon asks Jack what questions cis people should NOT ask trans people if they want to be good allies (1:19:04) (hint: don’t ask about anyone’s genitals in polite conversation). Jack talks about what it was like to grow up as a person assigned female at birth, having their appearance scrutinized and critiqued the way so many women’s are, and then transitioing and STILL having their appearance always part of conversation (1:22:46). Ep 108: Should we say "May the 4th Be With You" or just "Happy Holidays?"
Shannon and Jason plan to talk about comic books but Shannon is super tired and Jason is hungover and they're both mad about house republicans disregard for basic human decency so they only talk about comics a little at the end. They discuss pretty much everything else though: creativity, the fall of the "true conservative," First Contact Day, and then Shannon starts a story about the first time she realized she had Christian Privilege but totally forgets to finish it.

Ep 106: That Ride Was Problematic
Shannon (kinda drunk) and Jason (mostly sober) reflect on the 2nd half of their Florida journey, once Star Wars Celebration had ended. Shannon is glad that the Magic Kingdom's Hall of Presidents is closed because seeing audio-animatronic Trump would just make things too real, but Jason wanted to see what they'd have him say. Also discussed: the amazing but deadly Carousel of Progress, Star Tours Goose Droids, and how Shannon drank her way through Epcot's International Showcase.

Ep 105 Star Wars Celebration Tipsy Reflection
Shannon and Jason drink 4 tropical rum drinks and then "articulate" their feelings about Star Wars Celebration 2017. It was a bit bumpy, but worth it in the end. The Episode and the Convention.

Ep 104: Dr. Donald Grant: Building Bridges by Expressing and Exposing Vulnerability
“What we need is to develop some framework to say, ‘OK, I heard you, and I don’t agree with you because I don’t understand you,’ as opposed to developing 20,000 reasons to explain it away.” –Donald Grant PhD Shannon grapples with Trump’s air strikes and totally forgets to make a joke about Steve Bannon calling Jared Kushner a “cuck.” She then sits down with Dr. Donald Grant, aka, “The Good Donald” to discuss privilege, opression, and Richard Pryor. Ep 103 “My Genitals Will Have No Effect On Your Life” Riley Silverman 2 of 2
Shannon finishes her interview with comedian Riley Silverman, and they discuss what it was like for her to transition while she was doing stand-up and what that taught her. Shannon pretends to know what the word “karyotype” means and secretly Googles it later. They discuss how to avoid resistance fatigue and what episode of Doctor Who a newbie should start with. At the end, we flash back to a simpler time, before Trump was elected and before Rogue One came out in theatres, and Shannon exposes her lack of knowledge of the new characters’ names. Ep 102: "Assigned Hufflepuff at Birth" Riley Silverman 1 of 2
Shannon Corder swims in the joy of the defeat of Trump's unintelligible Health Care bill until her fingers get all prune-y. Comedian Riley Silverman stops by to talk about Hogwarts Houses and trans legal issues, and neither Shannon nor Riley can remember Gavin Grimm's last name temporarily but they both say #Istandwithgavin. The show wraps up with a review from resident husband Jason Thomas Scott trying patiently to explain the awesomeness of the Nintendo Switch game Zelda: Breath of the Wild while Shannon pesters him to share his wine.
