This is our biggest episode yet! We review a true classic in 1976's Rocky. We talk about how old Paulie is, if Rocky is slow, and if Adrain is actually Edith Bunker. And Brad makes Sean mad. We're getting strong now as we're flying high now. We can't wait for Rocky III and Rocky IV.Rocky is streaming on HBO Max if you're lucky enough to have that and the family who was letting you use their account didn't cancel their subscription. Or borrow it from your local library.Next episode: Hoop Dreams

In 1992, the anticipation of seeing a biopic based on the life of Babe Ruth was an exciting time. Then the movie came out and we were left with The Babe. We talk about the many inaccuracies of this movie including, an entire stadium throwing lemons at Babe Ruth, a pop fly that landed on the infield after Babe Ruth rounded third base, resulting in a home run, and the King Kong/Chris Farley-esque rampage into the stands. That and eating steaks and of course, farts. Bob Horner gets made fun of again. Poor Bob Horner. The Babe isn't streaming anywhere so borrow it from your local library. Next episode: ROCKY

The Karate Kid
Join us as we review the 1984 classic (FOR REAL!), The Karate Kid. We discuss Elizabeth Shue's sun squint, how many of Brad's relationships have ended because of video games, and Sean delivers A+ imitations for the second episode in a row. Oh, and all the karate grunts you can handle. Stick around to the end to hear a sure-fire 1985 hit if Sean had released in in 1985...at the age of 9...The Karate Kid isn't streaming anywhere free so support your local library and borrow it from there.Next Episode: The Babe

Sean and Brad suffer through Caddyshack 2 for the second times in their lives so you don't have to. Unless you watch before you listen. That's on you. They discuss everything. Because it's all bad. The gopher. Jackie Mason's unintelligible non-sense. The insufferable Dan Aykroyd and Randy Quaid performances. Jack Fresh. And of course, the only redeeming quality, the horse farts. We can't wait for Caddyshack. You can watch this on the Tubi app, or borrow it from your local library, but we wouldn't.Next movie: Karate Kid (THANK GOODNESS!)

It's a Fast Break on Slow Pitch! Sean and Brad marvel at the shorts in this movie, both in the length, or lack thereof, and the material, specifically denim. They gush over former UT Vols player-turned actor Bernard King. Is Gabe Kaplan, aka Mr. Kotter, better at playing basketball than Kevin Bacon? And they try to parse out the final game of the movie and all of its moving parts, which includes gunmen, sleeper holds, the police, and no sports bras. Join us as we review the 1979 classic...Fast Break.

For reviewing a movie about Jamaican bobsledders, we spend too much time talking about Karl Malone's thighs. We also discuss if John Candy is funny in this movie, why two of the main stars are named after a decaf coffee and a Hollywood movie star, and what is the deal with the lucky egg? And Brad wants to watch Who's Harry Crumb right now. Who's down?Join us as we review the 1993 classic, Cool Runnings. The Air Up There
Join us as we watch the 1994 classic, The Air Up There. George Clooney and Anna Kendrick are awesome. Kevin Bacon is not. At least not in this movie. Actually Clooney and Kendrick might have made better bball players than Bacon. There's primal African screams, chickens on busses, a plethora of Reebok Pumps, and the warthog. Moo Sister!Watch this movie by renting it from your preferred streaming service or borrow it from your local library.Next episode: Cool Runnings

Join us as we watch the 2006 classic, Glory Road. Except it's not a classic. The real game is a classic. But this is not. In this episode we discuss just how important this game was to the basketball world. But we also talk about what dunking in 1966 looked like, 1980 NBA Old-Timers games, 80s Madonna vs. 80s Cyndi Lauper (It's Cyndi Lauper), and of course Jon Voight's ridiculous nose and ear lobes. They might be the real villain of the movie. Which makes Jon Voight two-for-two in the villain department on Slow Pitch.Watch Glory Road on Disney+ or rent it from your local library.Next episode: The Air Up There

The Best of Times
Peak Robin Williams and Peak Kurt Russell together at last, Brad starts off by suggesting that Kurt Russell is a national treasure. You see too much of Robin Williams's robins in a confusing underwear scene. Throw in some great training montages and a strange high school reunion dance. The colonel, a random mascot, and the Order of the Caribou. We definitely second the second motion of the first motion, or whatever...Join us as we watch the 1986 classic, The Best of Times. You can stream it now on the Roku Channel or on Tubi. I don't know what Roku or Tubi is but do it. Or go to your parents house and watch the VHS version on your VCR. Join us as we review the 1997 classic, Air Bud. We talk about how misleading the poster is, the mid-50s Knicks, and our general confusion after watching this film. Oh, and of course the other Mr. Noodle, may he rest in peace.Next episode: The Best of Times

Moneyball is a great sports movie that is more math than sports. But it's more sports than The Last Boy Scout (we'll get to that later). Sean wonders about the color of 1980s cleats and Brad says the word "adult" weird. And poor Bob Horner gets bullied for the second episode in a row. And he wasn't even in Moneyball! Plus discussions about Jonah Hill's neckties and Chief Wahoo. Join us as we review the 2011 classic, Moneyball. Next episode: Air Bud

Brad likens himself to one of cinema's worst serial killers and Sean recounts a heart-warming story of visiting Yankee Stadium. Sheryl Crow gets a mention. Oh, and the movie is about Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris trying to break Babe Ruth's single season home run record in 1961. So why is Lyle Lovett there? We don't know either.

Is Darth Vader film's most evil villain? Maybe it's Gmork from the Neverending Story. We posit on the inaugural episode of Slow Pitch that it is Jon Voight as Coach Kilmer in Varsity Blues. Plus a pig instead of a dog, a high school senior head coach, and those accents. Oh, those accents...You can watch Varsity Blues on your 1999 DVD. It's not streaming anywhere for free. Or support your local library and check it out there.
