Episode 8 - Wen Muye and Dying to Survive
In this episode, we chat with director Wen Muye about his feature debut, the award-winning box office hit Dying to Survive. The comedy stars Xu Zheng, and follows the true story of a man who smuggled life-saving counterfeit drugs from India to China, and as well as scoring big at the box office, the film was responsible for bringing about real social change in China. The interview was carried out at FIRST International Film Festival in China, and this is our first episode featuring exclusive interviews and content for the festival.
