Coffee 101 with Don Francisco's Coffee
We are self-proclaimed coffee lover, just like the next parents in line.  But when it comes to really knowing coffee, we aren't the experts. Coffee is so popular, it's actually the second most consumed drink in the world behind water! More than 400 billion cups are consumed each year, and more than 450 million cups of coffee are consumed in the United States every day. Brad and Shanisty welcome a coffee expert to the show.  Lisette Gavina Lopez from Don Francisco's Coffee has coffee in her DNA, as it is her family's business. The story of Don Fransisco's Coffee is so impressive... originating in Cuba and eventually making their way to California. Lissette shares with us her expertise, and we even offer her a few fun marketing strategies... So go ahead and pour a cup of coffee, sit back and relax. We hope you enjoy this week's episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast.

Disney World: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
We recently returned from an extended stay at Walt Disney World. Six kids under the age of 8 and four adults.  This was a trip we had planned for two years and canceled several times because of COVID. Brad and Shanisty break down the monster of the trip. What to see, what to do, where to eat, how were the masks, how were the lines and so much more.  Sit back, relax and enjoy this week's episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast.

Big Surprise in Big Sky Montana
Brad and I haven't seen each other in almost 2 years, even though we talk all the time and launched this podcast during a pandemic.  Earlier this month, we all flew out to Bozeman, Montana to surprise Jeff for his 40th birthday. The surprise was epic! A moment we will never forget. Jeff had absolutely no idea Brad and Carrie would be in Bozeman when we landed, they really made his 40th birthday one for the books. Brad and I hopped on our mics last week to chat all things Montana...keeping this big birthday surprise...and our very first attempt at skiing, ever. Grab a cup of coffee...or a glass of wine...sit back and relax, and listen to our latest episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast.

Episode #9: Wants vs. Needs in an Amazon World
You scroll through Instagram and find a pair of sunglasses you love on an Influencer. You click the brand she's tagged. After a few clicks, the sunglasses appear on your doorstep in 3-5 days. The convenience of online shopping is two-fold, in my opinion. While it's super helpful for a busy mom of 4 who doesn't have time or energy to shop, it can also be a slippery slope for children and teenagers who can click a button and make a purchase on something they want vs. something they actually need. On this week's episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast, Brad and Shanisty break down the discrepancies of wants vs. needs in an Amazon world and how we can teach our children the value of a dollar.

Episode #8: Youth Sports
If you're a parent, odds are your child is involved in some sort of extra curricular activity. Whether it's swimming, gymnastics, art class, music lessons or another organized sport many children will try their hand in various activities during their childhood. Today on the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast, we are chatting with clinical psychologist Dr. Josh Klapow about youth sports in America, and how they have transformed over the years.  We're asking him some tough questions and getting to the root of why Youth Sports have changed so drastically during the last 20 years.  We hope you find value and entertainment in this week's episode below.

Episode #6: 5 Surprising Things We've Learned in Quarantine
From dead-bolting the master bedroom, to becoming a laundry expert... As a former journalist, Shanisty and Brad are used to helping people in a time of crisis. Shanisty shares how helpless she's felt during this pandemic, so she turned to sewing.  Brad is really surprised at how much he enjoys being a "house wife" ... he's loving the opportunity to clean the house during all hours of the day and taking charge of the laundry.  Brad and Shanisty compare notes and share 5 surprising things they've learned about themselves during quarantine.  We hope you enjoy this week's episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast!

Episode #5: How are you handling Quarantine?
Let's start with what we don't miss from life before quarantine. We don't miss the constant running from here to there. We don't miss dinners on the go. We don't miss jam packed calendars.  Quarantine for my families hasn't really been that bad! We are doing exactly what we have been asked to do. Stay home, stay safe, wear masks and scrub our hands if we do leave the house. We missed out on our epic spring break trip to Destin last month, like many of you did... but other than that, we kind of feel like we aren't missing out on too much! Brad and Shanisty chat about life before quarantine, what it's been like for their children, homeschooling, gambling, mask making and more! We hope you enjoy this very candid episode of our podcast.

Episode #4: Spring Cleaning and Quarantine
Hey all you cool cats and kittens, I think we'd be living under a rock to not acknowledge the burning question, did Carole Baskin kill her husband? Totally kidding. That's not what this week's episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast is all about. But it is something that is sweeping our nation while we sit under quarantine and try to flatten the curve. Another activity many people are taking advantage of during their time at home is spring cleaning. It got us thinking: Where do you start? How do you organize? How do you keep it organized? Can I afford a service like this? So we turned to an expert to ask the burning questions. Professional organizer, Kelly Beutler with The Joyful Sort took the time to step away from Tiger King and chat with us about what her company does and how it's not so foreign of an idea for me and you!

He was set to reach his 3,000th consecutive visit to Disneyland on Wednesday, March 18th... but due to COVID-19, Disneyland was shut down on his 2,995th consecutive visit. Take a listen as Jeff chats with Shanisty and Brad about his journey!

Episode #2: COVID-19: How to Talk with your kids with Dr. Josh Klapow
It's the first week our COVID-19 quarantine and social distancing. Maybe you aren't able to stay at home during this unprecedented time in our country and around the world. Maybe this is the first time you've been able to stay at home with your kids, and take some time away from the office.  Regardless, this is a time of many uncertainties and things we can't control. Naturally, the first question that came to our mind was how do we discuss this with our children, and how do we shield them from our emotions? Shanisty and Brad turn to an expert, Dr. Josh Klapow who is a clinical psychologist and offers up some amazing, expert insight for us and COVID-19. "While this is a time and place to have compassion, children are also learning grit...they’re learning resiliency. Being reassuming to your kids is great, but just know...it’s also okay not to have the answers. Don’t make your kids false promises, it’s okay to say I just don’t know when you’re going back to school, I don’t know when this will all pass. That’s okay to say."
