ED "EAGLE MAN" MCGAA, Oglala Sioux author, speaker, and Sundancer will join us to share his considerable wisdom. He is a highly decorated Veteran who, as a Marine Corps pilot in Vietnam, flew 110 combat missions. He studied with two Sioux Holy Men, Chief Eagle Feather and Chief Fool's Crow, and participated in six Sundances. He has written nine books about Native American teachings beginning with his most popular one, "Mother Earth Spirituality" which was published in 1990, and has been reprinted 41 times. He is open to share the Love and Wisdom of the Creator with all who are hungry and open to receive, and that in itself is the badge of someone close to the Great Spirit. Brant Secunda is a shaman, healer and ceremonial leader in the Huichol Indian tradition of Mexico. He completed a twelve-year apprenticeship with Don José Matsuwa, the renowned Huichol Shaman who lived to be 110 years old and who adopted Brant as his grandson. Alongside other dignitaries including President Jimmy Carter, Brant cofounded the Peace University in Berlin, and is a founding member of the American Herbalists Guild and has taught at the American Holistic Medical Association Annual Conference He is a world-renowned shaman and healer in the Huichol Indian tradition. Director of the Dance of the Deer Foundation, Center for Shamanic Studies, he has taught seminars worldwide for more than 30 years. His work has been documented on radio, television, and in books and articles throughout the world. Brant is the coauthor of Fit Soul, Fit Body: 9 Keys to a Healthier, Happier You. The Huichol Indians of Mexico have been called the true treasure of the Sierra Madres. For centuries, they remained hidden from the modern world, and are believed to be one of the oldest pre-Columbian societies in existence.
