Sexual dysfunction in adolescence
In this episode I speak with Grace Alice O'Shea about sexual dysfunction as a young person. We discuss how to support young people who are experiencing this, Grace's personal experience as well as how aspects of this have influenced her sexuality. Vaginismus and us
In this episode I speak with Lisa Mackenzie and Kat Wilson about their personal experiences of vaginismus. We talk about what people can do if they are experiencing these issues, where they can go and how to find community. About Lisa: After living with vaginismus for many years, and feeling broken and isolated, Lisa decided to take control of the situation. She met Kat Wilson, a vaginismus blogger, and very quickly they set up the Vaginismus Network after realising how life-changing it is to meet someone else who truly understands what you are going through. Lisa is passionate about supporting and empowering others living with vaginismus, and providing them with the sense of community that she believes she could have benefitted from as a young girl growing up with the condition. Lisa is a passionate public speaker and is always happy to share her experience to help others. Since setting up the network, she has spoken at numerous events, has engaged with university students and has featured on several podcasts, such as Standard Issue and Huff Post UK. Lisa is currently responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the network alongside her day job. Pelvic floor health after childbirth
In this episode I speak with Clare Bourne about pelvic health. We discuss the impact of childbirth, pelvic health on sexual function and where to go and what to do if you are experiencing pelvic difficulties. HIV in 2021

Chronic illness and sex.
In this episode I speak with Dr Lee Phillips about how to navigate sex and relationships with a chronic illness. We discuss how to support a partner who has a chronic illness as well as advice on dating and communication. About Lee: Dr. Lee Phillips is in private practice in Reston, VA where he specializes in couples sex therapy. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. Dr. Phillips is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia. He is a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). In addition, he is a Certified Sex and Couples Therapist (CSCT) by the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute. He has been in private practice for more than a decade, working with individuals and couples on sexuality after chronic illness. He lectures on topics including sexuality, chronic pain, anxiety and stress management, caregiving stress, depression in the elderly, mindfulness and cognitive strategies for chronic pain, reclaiming sexuality for couples with chronic illness, ethical decision making, the assessment of mental disorders, and exploring sexual communication, freedom, and pleasure for gender minorities with chronic illness, pain, and other disabilities. He has published in the Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work, conducting a research study on LGBTQ-Affirmative Teaching at Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Understanding Program Directors Views. He has been a featured expert in Teen Vogue, Healthline, and The Lily Newspaper. He writes for Psychology Today. Dr. Phillips is writing his first book, Sex and Love When You’re in Pain, which helps couples overcome shame and the sexual limitations caused by illness and gives strategies to create and reclaim a sex life that works. He is the host of the Sex & Chronic Illness Podcast. His podcast features stories from individuals, couples, and other experts in the field on overcoming shame and the sexual limitations caused by illness and disability. He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Behavioral Health from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. She is the Founder of Eggshell Therapy and Coaching and author of the book Emotional Sensitivity and Intensity, which is available in multiple languages. She specialises in emotional intensity, high sensitivity, giftedness, complex trauma (CPTSD), and personality disorders. Imi is qualified as a Clinical Psychotherapist (UKCP), Creative Arts Therapist (ANZACATA), Schema Therapist (ISST), Philosophical Counsellor (NPCA), Mentalisation-based Treatment Practitioner (BPC), Clinical Supervisor and Mindfulness Teacher. With more than a decade of experience, she has worked in the NHS, charities and other mental health settings. Now, as an independent consultant, she works holistically, combining East and Western philosophies with psychological and spiritual healing modalities. Imi is the recipient of multiple scholarships and awards including the Endeavour Award by the Australian Government. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and is committed to creating social changes. She has been featured as a pioneer in the field in publications such as The Psychologies Magazine, The Telegraph, Marie Claire, and The Daily Mail. Her work appears on Psychology Today, Psych Central and other online platforms. Leaving home at a young age, Imi has lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
