"Ascot Red-Handed": A Bradford N. Smith Original Screenplay Live Reading (w/ Ibtisam Brown)
Terrified he would have to eventually deliver on his promise of writing one original Scooby-Doo screenplay per month, Evan was ecstatic and relieved to discover Bradford N. Smith, who had done all of that (and then some)! The original daring duo, plus one of their spouses, Luke, do their best to bring one of the hopeful screenwriter's many works to riveting, audible life. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hire this man if you know what's good for you!

"Scoob!" Review Part 2: It’s All Downhill From Here
Second Critique Officially Offered Belatedly! A scant three weeks after part one, the Dudes are back to finally deliver a resounding conclusion to their review of the digital rental chart-topper. The conclusion is magical, fantastical, and even a little bit Neanderthal. There are heroic feats, emotional beats, and not nearly enough eats. (The person writing this description has just realized they shouldn't listen to rap while doing so.)

"Scoob!" Review Part 1: "They Had Us in the First Half..."
Staid Compatriots Offhandedly Orating Banter! It's the Scooby Dudes! Luke and Evan are finally delivering on the vague promise they made half a year ago to cover "Scoob!", the latest feature film starring Scooby-Doo and the gang (and a mottley crew of unasked-for characters). That's right, this is a true present for these unprecedented times, a gift from their mouths to your ears, wherever you may be. They hope you continue to enjoy their irregularly scheduled programming, because Part 2 is on the way!

"Raggy! Rit's the R-r-roronarirus!"
What do you call a roast-slash-break-pop-and-lock-battle held in San Diego? A SoCal diss-dance of course! And what do you call an unteased return by the most-entertaining Scooby-Doo podcast in the biz? A good thing, hopefully. Luke and Evan have been staying at home, together, ever since their podcast started, and they’re back during a difficult time to help a) assure their listeners they’re still alive, b) get all references to the 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease out of their systems, and c) talk about an animated Great Dane and his four human pals.

A Scooby Dudes Goodbye: Scoob, Dog in the City (w/ Ibtisam Brown)
Exactly a year ago today the Scooby Dudes uploaded a little teaser cleverly titled "Promo Arigato, Listen, You Got To," and it took 365 days for Evan Yeong and Luke Doty to deliver (with a little bit of assistance from one of their partners). It seems only fitting that the conclusion to their long-running project would end just as shakily as it started, but there's something old (bad bits), something new (a reading of an original screenplay!), and the return of every guest they've ever had on their show. What better way to celebrate the end of a decade?

Scoob! Trailer? I Hardly Know Her
It's been almost exactly one full calendar year since the last time they updated, but hey, what better pre-American-Thanksgiving day gift than an unexpected episode of Scooby Dudes? The dynamic duo is back to share their impressions of the first-ever Scoob! trailer, and boy, do they have some opinions. That's right, their months-long hiatus is over, at least for a little bit. The Dudes hope you missed them, because they sure missed putting content out into the world and expecting people to listen to it!

Promo Arigato, Listen, You Got To
Got to listen to this! And by this we mean a promo for a very special episode coming to your ears in the (not-so?) distant future! While this is the final installment of "Scooby Dudes" for 2018, it's not the end for your daring duo of competent co-hosts. Also, if you have anything nice to say about this title, please let them know! You can tweet compliments to @thescoobydudes and email any accolades or additional praise to scoobydudespodcast@gmail.com!

Scooby Dudes: The Next Generation
Two nerdy guys tail new goals to nurture growth. Then nobody's grateful? Take notice, group! To navigate generous tempers needs gumption. The Next Generation. Take that, "V for Vendetta"! Anyway, in this episode Luke and Evan think ahead to what the future might be for Scoob and the gang. In discussing the next incarnation of the show they also touch on a very special announcement in the outro. Stay tuned so that you can stay tuned!

Episode 67: "The Beast is Awake in Bottomless Lake"
It's the end of an era! That sentence of course refers to this, the season finale of perennial podcast favourite "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" and nothing else. That's right, things are coming to a close (in terms of this specific show way back in 1978). Given that the gang cross the border to the north this is an international episode. What better way to acknowledge the long-distance hurdles that people once faced communicating across the 49th Parallel by adding a distinct tinniness to one of the host's audio tracks? An excellent idea that surely no one will mind!

Episode 66: "The Legend of Alice May"
In an alternate universe this entire episode revolves around the latest transfer to Crystal Cove High School, a semi-famous foot model of some renown. It's very similar title? "The Leg-End of Alice May". That joke only works when written out, which is why it's featured in this description. It's back to school for Evan and Luke, as they return to "Mystery Incorporated", a series beloved by many, if not necessarily by the podcasting duo themselves. As the overarching mystery finally starts to unravel, will the same be said for their partnership? Listen and find out!

Blistery Discourse-porated: Scooby-Doo Is a Dog
Brothers, sisters, and all other siblings, let it be known that Scooby-Doo has and always will be a dog. Canis familiaris. A Great Dane, to be more specific, or a Deutsche Dogge if you hail from Germany. An animal. Yet in spite of that incontrovertible fact this particular canine is rarely ever treated like one! This week Luke and Evan attempt to teach one another what new tricks this old dog might have if he was ever considered one. Will they stop before they're too far (dog-)gone?

Episode 65: "Scooby Apocalypse #2"
Do you like your heroes tattooed, moustachioed, and gloved? Do you like your heroines overly violent, diminutive, and also gloved? If so you may have picked up and read "Scooby Apocalypse", which may be how you found this podcast episode covering one issue in the series. While some may categorize this week's offering as an unrelenting outpouring of constant negativity, that couldn't be further from the truth. There's also improv! Just a fun little thing Evan and Luke are trying out (and REALLY enjoying)!

Episode 64: "Scooby the Barbarian/No Sharking Zone"
This week's episode brings you two mysteries for the price of one! Not only that, but the cost of each "Scooby Dudes" episode is a grand total of FREE!! You're getting twice as many costumed criminals for No Money Down!!! In the first half we have the terrifying Nordic raiders who sailed the seas, and in the second one of the monstrous fish that still swim their depths. Will Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, and Scrappy succumb to an axe or a many-toothed maw? Tune in to find out!

Episode 63: "Lock the Door, It's a Minotaur!"
Are you ready to be aMAZEd at this week's episode, getting truly LOST and ENTANGLED in the adventures of Scoob and his pals? A heads-up to any labyrinth enthusiasts out there, but there's a DEAD END in your future. That's right, while there may be a bull-headed beast terrorizing the gang, there's absolutely no need to navigate any twists and turns. Instead, there are two cool guys enjoying their own little visit to the isle of Helios (ball of yarn not needed).

Writers' Room: October-est 2018
There's an alternate universe out there where Evan and Luke put their education and occupational efforts towards becoming TV writers, and brought their passion to Scooby-Doo to life via an actual animated TV series and not just the best-reviewed Scoob podcast on iTunes. Sure, Donald Trump is still president, but there is this silver lining. Writers' Rooms are where both co-hosts bring a little slice of that world to this one, letting listeners in on what their vision of Scooby-Doo and the gang would look like. (Also, if this helps at all, in that reality Anthony Bourdain is still alive.) (Also also: this episode is all about celebrating the great month of October.)
69 minutes | Sep 23, 2018
Episode 62: "Spooky Space Kook"
Two co-hosts named Evan and Luke Watched an episode starring Space Kook The monster looked rad The mystery bad Any insight was likely a fluke Staying up penning copy all night One sad co-host sat by laptop light Wondering why he decided to write two limericks like honestly doesn't he care about going to sleep, what is wrong with him???
72 minutes | Sep 16, 2018
Episode 61: Pompeii And Circumstance
There's a truly hilarious bit that Luke and Evan did, riffing on how one might break down the song title "Pomp and Circumstance", that fortunately was not recorded, because, hey, what if one of them wants to get into politics one day? Risque intros aside, this episode which takes place in Italy spawns commentary which contains zero (0) mentions of the Mafia, Chef Boyardee, gesturing while speaking, the phrase "Mamma Mia!", or references to Mario OR Luigi! The Scooby Dudes dare you to find another podcast more culturally sensitive than this one.

Episode 60: "The Chiller Diller Movie Thriller"
Has a certain genre of adult entertainment ever made the pun that blood is thicc-er than water? If not, is that particular industry on the lookout for marketers and copywriters? Asking for a friend. Luke and Evan never expected to review an episode that would lead to questions like the ones above. Yet that's what this week brought them, a traditional vengeful spirit coupled with a disturbing sub(?)text among Scoob and his cousins to keep it in the family.

Friendterrogation Episode VI: Return of the Numbering
If you really break it down, isn't every conversation just a two-way interrogation? If true, that means that every single episode of Scooby Dudes is a Friendterrogation™. Which would result in the episode numbering of this podcast so much worse than it already is, given that non-recaps aren't counted. One day listeners remember that they can ask the two co-hosts questions that aren't related to boring ol'* Scooby-Doo, but it didn't take place during the week leading up to this one. That's cool, though, because Luke and Evan manage to squeeze a bit of fun out of them anyway! *Scooby-Doo isn't boring at all; it's great!

Episode 59: "The Haunted Showboat"
This week Scooby-Doo and the rest of Mystery Incorporated collaborate with everyone's favourite fictional teen girl band! And no, we don't mean Jem and the Holograms, the focus of a very 2015 film directed by Jon M. Chu. Which isn't to say that he's a bad director, because he helmed "Crazy Rich Asians", and it was really excellent! Anyone who hasn't seen it yet should go do so immediately. It is a really important movie, and very crucially also succeeds as an entertaining romantic comedy and, uh... Right, they team up with Josie and the Pussycats. Me-OW!
