15. Lora's Newly Published Book, Wounds to Wisdom
Lora Solomon is a family nurse practitioner, mother, teacher, visionary, author, retreat facilitator speaker, ordained minister, and podcaster. With over three decades of experience as a healthcare professional and wisdom teacher, she shines a light on the role of survival programming on our health and our relationship with our divinity.     In this episode, Kim Andryc and Lora Solomon discuss:   Lora’s newly published book Wounds to Wisdom The power of owning your entire story (even the dark parts) The healing power of bringing forth what is within  How our biography (story) becomes our biology (body)   Key Takeaways: Own your story, even the painful parts. “Your baggage is your power that is yet to be unpacked.”  If you bring forth what is within you, it will heal you.  If you don’t bring forth what is within you, it will destroy you.  Beliefs and programming which were installed when you were young and dependent were a matter of survival. When you start to challenge those beliefs, it will feel like you’re going to die but challenging them is necessary so that you can heal and bring forth your unique gifts. We can’t let what we do define who we are. We are human beings, not human doings.   "You have to own your story to own your power. It takes power to heal. 14. Daniel ‘Sitaram Das’ Shankin: The Ecstasy of Psychedelic Integration
About Daniel ‘Sitaram Das’ Shankin: As a psychedelic integration coach, Daniel helps people with emerging spiritual visions find ways to weave their new-found truths into their lives in a way that is sustainable, harmonious, compassionate and wise. He has served people from all walks of life and is grateful to have been able to work with a diverse clientele that includes artists, performers, lawyers, healers, professors, doctors, researchers, political candidates, tech entrepreneurs, and activists. He works with them using practical, effective, and time tested tools to create a life for themselves that is aligned with their deeper values and manifests for them measurable results that matter.   Using his 20 years of experience as a meditation teacher, yoga school director, and mindfulness coach, Daniel is able to convey profound spiritual teachers and practical action plans to safely and surely move his clients into places that they never imagined possible.   Daniel has consulted with numerous organizations and businesses, in both the psychedelic and wellness spaces, highly motivated by his own experiences to help usher in a new era of consciousness on the planet. He also enjoys producing events, training, and conferences.   He is currently the program director of Mt. Tam Psychedelic Integration, which offers donation based integration circles in the bay area.   In this episode, Kim Andryc, Lora Solomon, and Daniel ‘Sitaram Das’ Shankin discuss: Misconceptions about psychedelics Differentiating escape versus deep inquiry  Holistic practices to support psychedelic integration Accessing the ecstasy in our nature   Key Takeaways: One of the biggest misconceptions about psychedelics is that they are not wholesome, or that they can never be something holy, spiritual or healthy.  How to discern if you’re using psychedelics to escape yourself versus going deeper within. Using psychedelics to heighten your meditative experience can be very effective if you use it to look inward. You’ll be able to gain awareness of how you look at the world, and restructure your perception or just sit in reverent remembrance of the experience.  Ecstasy is in our nature. Psychedelics, sex, and even a good chocolate croissant are all touch stones to who we really are - it helps us remember who we are.  "There are things that we’re concerned about and things we’re not, there’s things we have any control over and things that we don’t. People tend to be the happiest when they line up, give or take. When we’re mostly concerned about the things that we have control over." — Daniel ‘Sitaram Das’ Shankin Sign up for the 2nd Annual Integration Jam by clicking on this link, input the coupon code “REBELLION” to receive a 15% discount: https://integrationjam.com/  Connect with Daniel ‘Sitaram Das’ Shankin:  Website: https://tamintegration.com/  Twitter: https://twitter.com/tamintegration  Instagram: https://instagram.com/tamintegration  Facebook: https://facebook.com/tamintegration  Connect with Lora and Kim:  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LoraAndKim  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sacredrebellionpodcast/ Email Lora:  connect@lorasolomon.com Email Kim: kim@kimandryc.com   Audio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. 13. Own Your Self
Has there ever been a more challenging and confusing time to be in ownership of a human body?  The Pandemic has illuminated just how lost we have gotten from outsourcing our health instead of owning responsibility for our bodies.  Dr. Kelly Brogan is a beacon of clarity for those who are willing to embody their own darkness as well as their light.  She shares intimate details of her own awakening and her continued efforts to stand in alignment with her values as a woman, mother and doctor.  For many years, most of us have accepted the narrative that the health care system can be trusted to fix us . . .  That we are broken and  need to be fixed by an external authority.   Now is the time to deeply challenge that narrative.  To navigate our choices in a brand new way.  Stepping out of "victim consciousness" is not for the faint of heart.  But the liberation that comes from standing firm in your own embodied sovereignty with humility and respect for others is the dance we are being invited to.  In this podcast we touch on the topics of what our shared values as human beings really are, what individuation requires, sitting in the tension of "I don't know" and trusting the dark night of the soul as a portal to giving birth to something better. Don't miss it!!!

12. The Mother of Trauma
Mothers and daughters. . . is there a more complicated relationship?  This episode is an intimate conversation between three women, friends, mothers, and daughters.  We share our challenges with our own mothers, grandmothers, and our adult daughters. In this time when we are aware enough to understand more about trans-generational trauma, how do we treat ourselves and our ancestors with respect and gentleness while accepting the challenge to heal our wounds? How do we recover from well-meaning conditioning and embody a more whole version of what it means to be a woman?  How do we nurture the next generation while we are still in our own recovery?  Laugh and cry along with us as we explore this rich topic.

What is Rolfing and what does it have to do with spirituality and healing? According to Ida Rolf, "we move through a room the way we move through life." In this episode, Lora and Kim interview Jill Coyne from Queen City Rolfing.  Jill enlightens us about the transformative practice of fully occupying our bodies in order to fully occupy our lives through structural integration.
