Rudimentality Podcast #6 - Eric Palmer & Mike Thorseth
Great Scott! We have another edition of the Rudimentality Podcast featuring everyone's favorite director: Mike Thorseth! Mike has been the Director of the Sauk Rapids High School Drumline (Sauk Rapids, MN) since 2005, is a master of instrument repair, and a visual judge for marching bands throughout the Midwest. In this installment, Mike and I focus on what it takes to create a strong visual program, the challenges that face indoor drumline/marching band directors, designing for your class, and nerding out about pogs! Be sure to visit the show page to check out videos, images, links, etc... that tie to references Mike and I make on this week's podcast: www.rudimentality.com * Production note: While the overall audio quality has improved this week, you can see from the photo on the right that we are still a long ways off from an ideal setup. ;-) As a result there is some extraneous impact noise and typing the appears in the mix from time to time. Thankfully it is brief when it does appear, and of course the more we do this, the better the product will be. However, if you would like to see the quality and frequency of the RMP increase exponentially in the coming weeks, consider making a donation to Rudimentality via PayPal! All donations will be used exclusively for paying monthly hosting fees, new recording/mixing equipment, and any other miscellaneous expenses that pop up in relation to the podcast (travel expenses, software upgrades, etc...). Simply click on the "Donate" button in on the upper-right of the page on www.rudimentality.com, and follow the steps to make a secure donation via PayPal! Any amount is welcome, and greatly appreciated. And now: ENJOY RMP#6!
