What We Forget (Harder Path)
Don’t you think long ago, trails served more purpose than to just take us to high mountain peaks? Many of the easy paths have become highways as thousands of years have gone by. Much of the trail left is the scenic route, up switchbacks for miles, through cumbersome terrain, to a place with less oxygen, snow and rain. In life we can come to a fork in the road, knowing that sometimes the Harder Path is the right path. We may find ways to explain away the reason to go the scenic route, to justify our own excuses for us to be absent-instead of ever present, to ascend, to be in the moment, embracing the difficult. We see the Peak as the revelation after the obstacles and hurdles of the Harder Path.
