43: The Ryan Baker Experience
This episode has been sitting on the back burner for a few weeks now but features the return of Ryan Baker to the show. We took the time to catch up and chat about life, the struggle of the recent college grad, and a few other lighter topics along the way. Ryan had a lot to say which made editing the show a little tougher, but hopefully you enjoy #RobTakesOn the Ryan Baker Experience.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

42: Sports? As Told By Andrew Gillis
As we get back into the swing of things and the world continues to reach a sense of normalcy again, I felt it appropriate to bring on Andrew Gillis of NBC Sports Washington. We talk everything from what it's like covering sports in a pandemic to how he got to the desk...or home office, that he's in now. 25 years and a job with no job security will change a man, and Andrew is chalk full of wisdom throughout this weeks episode of #RobTakesOn Sports? as told by Andrew Gillis.  You can find Andrews work on NBCSportsWashington.com or on Twitter @Andrew_Gillis70. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

40: Midterms and other Podcast Updates
Welcome...back...? I guess to #RobTakesOn. After Covid-19 shut the world down, pretty much any plans for this show went out the window. This week I'm back to talk a little bit about my grad school experience, announce a new co-host, and talk about the future of RobTakesOn and whatever that may hold.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

39: Tough Conversations
This week I got to sit across the table from a friend whom I have incredible respect for. Lauren and I talked a little bit about life after college and a world without RA's before getting into some tough conversations about racism in our communities as well as on a grander level. It became very clear to us throughout our hour together that this is a very layered issue that has more questions and problems than it has answers and solutions.  This episode certainly does not fix racism in America, but tough conversations are a good start.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

38: SAT Words and Sleep Talking
When in doubt, call Carter back on the show because who better to shoot the breeze and talk about nothing than the guy you're moving back in with. This week Carter and I talk about moving back in together, some subconscious conversations, and a quick update on some Floridian happenings. This week on #RobTakesOn SAT Words and Sleep Talking. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

37: An Open Mic in an Empty Room
I'm back, like I never left...except I definitely did. Sorry about that. This week we (I) talk about where I went and why I went there and we chat about the things that happened in my absence. The point is we're back and guests will be back soon too. Ultimately RobTakesOn a tomorrow Rob problem for six months and I finally decided to tackle some insecurities in #RobTakesOn An Open Mic in an Empty Room.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

36: New Spaces & Tiny Vases, Feat. Pat has a Girlfriend?
This week I sat down with Pat Dealey to just catch up. We spent the majority of the episode talking about nothing. So if you're into that kind of thing...enjoy. We answered a few voicemails, took on some controversial topics, and discussed the cultural importance of the seltzer.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

35: A Summer at Harbor Park
This summer I spent more time at Harbor Park watching baseball than I did pretty much anywhere else. My guest, Carter Evans, and I took on an 18 game pass with the intention of seeing some high quality baseball. While we didn't get to see too many days or nights of high quality ball, the times were always good. Tune in this week as Carter and I reminisce on our Summer at Harbor Park.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

S2E16: #RobTakesOn a First Year Finalé
After a few weeks off and some time to reflect, this week I had a new friend on the show to talk about what we learned in our perspective first years. Her first year of college and my first year out. I learned a lot this year and some of that is highlighted here in this episode. I'm looking forward to revamping RTO for the fall and I hope you'll join me then but until mid-august. S2E15: #RobTakesOn A Tinder Success Story
This week I found the anomaly that is a Tinder Success Story, or so it seems. Dom and Grace are coming up to their first full year as an official couple and its all thanks to Tinder. We talked about how this whole thing came to be and tested the relationship with a newlywed game to make everyone think. Not a whole lot more than that this week on RobTakesOn A tinder success story.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

S2E14: #RobTakesOn The Spud Special
This week we FINALLY determine the best way to make a potato. While this is still a hot potato topic for many of us, the results of our survey speak for themselves. My guest, Sami Tenaglia and I, break down the top 16 potatoes from the survey and go over a few other life updates. Everything from erratic bird stories to our celebrity look alike (or lack there of) this week in #RobTakesOn The Spud Special.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

S2E13: #RobTakesOn: The Marvel Universe...All at Once
This week I took on watching all 22 movies in the Marvel Universe in the span of 11 days. I was not emotionally prepared for the roller coaster of feelings that ensued. Brenna and I tried to process all of this about 24 hours after finishing the saga and then ended up talking about a variety of topics including life after college and cats v dogs.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

S2E12: #RobTakesOn The Great Unknown with Dr. Weenie
This week I had my fraternity brother, and good friend, Dr. Jeff Niehaus on the show to talk about life after college and a little bit more. Dr. Niehaus is a graduate of Purdue University and just so happens to be the oldest guest on my show so far. This week we dove into a little bit of the pressure recent grads feel to have it all figured out and how perfectly okay it is to have no clue where you're going in life upon graduation. S2E11: #RobTakesOn DJ Pancake and Thai Adventures
This week #RobTakesOn Thailand as my guest this week shares his postgrad experience thus far. Jordan graduated in May of 2018 from Christopher Newport University, got married, and moved to Thailand with his College sweetheart and it has been a roller coaster ever since. Jordan and I talk about his experience traveling the world, adjusting to married life and post grad life all while working on his MBA in another country. Sounds like a lot to handle but Jordan is adamant that he's just another recent grad trying to make it in this world this week on #RobTakesOn DJ Pancake and Thai Adventures --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/robtakeson/support

S2E10: #RobTakesOn Adulting in the Friendly Skies
This week I sat down with Jumpseat Julianna Wagner to talk about her recent career jump from a college drop out tending bar at a local restaurant in Norfolk to flying the friendly skies as a flight attendant for a major US airline. We touched on how we got to this point, how real jobs make us feel a little more adult and of course we touched on how tough dating can be in your early 20's.
