How to know if you have a Dual Diagnosis
This episode will help you discover if you have a dual diagnosis and what the symptoms are and how to address the problems. #1. What came first? The substance disorder or the mental health disorder? #2. Is there still a mental health disorder if the person stops using drugs and alcohol for at least 30 days?#3. If you have two disorders, then everything is going to be more severe. #4, Look at the criteria from the DSM-V manual. The DSM-V will show you the signs and symptoms that make up a diagnosis. A treatment plan is based on an accurate diagnosis and assessment.
