PHOENIX CROSSLAND | The young Knight making Newcastle his home

This week we chat with Newcastle Knights playmaker and U20 NSW representative, Phoenix Crossland. Born in New Zealand, Phoenix moved to the central coast of NSW at a young age.  He can remember his first match of rugby like it was yesterday and as soon as he started playing around with a footy, he was hooked. He has consistently featured in NSW rep sides and made his debut for the Newcastle Knights in 2019. The first Knights player born this century to play for the club. In this chat, 19-year-old Phoenix chats about the incredible belief new coach Adam O’Brien has provided to the Knights squad, the emotions surrounding his NRL Debut and he pays tribute to his mother for where he has gotten to today.
