This week we’re joined by Lee Waters a performance psychologist currently undertaking his PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology. His research is focused on eye tracking of match officials during offside decisions. We spend this podcast asking him about his research, what his findings are and practical techniques every official can do to improve their eyesight.

To celebrate the Super Bowl we sit down with Roger Goodgroves the Director of Operations at BAFRA (British American Football Referee’s Association) to talk about the differences of officiating between Football and American Football.

We catch up with current Brighton and Hove Albion Women's First Team Manager Hope Powell. Prior to managing Brighton in the Women's Super League, Hope was the manager for the England national team for 15 years. We chat with Hope about laws of the game, technology in football and what she thinks makes a great referee.

Rosendo Mendoza is a recent graduate to the MLS having officiated his first MLS match on August 4th 2019. Rosendo joins us to talk about his career, his 2019 season that saw him officiate his first MLS match, as well as the NWSL Final and a USL Semi-Final. He shares his advice on what you can do as a referee to keep improving.
