Today we will be hearing a particularly special message from Pastor Ryan as we continue through our Ecclesiastes series, talking about what scripture says for when life gets unpredictable.

Many times life doesn't make sense, or just plain surprises us, and our plans fall apart. This morning our message from Pastor Ryan wrestles with the question "So what do we do about it?"

We're excited to have you join us for part 2 in our study of Psalm 27! When seeking comfort, we don't usually think of waiting as being the solution-- and yet it's exactly what the psalmist suggests. So we hope you are encouraged and challenged by this message from Pastor David, as well as the worship through song and reading of the Word.

In the dark and discouraging times, we all look for light. But what -- or Who -- do we run to in order to find that light? This week we're blessed to hear from Pastor David Lembke walking through Psalm 27, and the beautiful reminder of how God is our comfort, our shepherd, and our safe place.

When life doesn't go the way we think it ought to, when "bad things happen to good people", our first reaction is often confusion, frustration, or anxiety trying to make it all make sense. But once again the writer of Ecclesiastes has some challenging, yet important wisdom for us on responding with joy for all the things God has given us!

When things seem to be going wrong around us, it can be easy to feel hopeless or frustrated-- but God offers us a bigger picture. "There cannot be a more important theme in a Christian's life than a theme of love. Love is at the very center of who we are as Christians." But what exactly does this mean? The world has a lot of ideas, but what is GOD'S standard of love? This week and next we will be taking a detour from Ecclesiastes to talk about the wonderful book of 1 John, where Pastor David will dive into what God's love looks like, and how it can change us. Is it really "better to go to the house of mourning than to the house of feasting"? That's what we see in our text from Ecclesiastes today, and we're going to dive in to understand it!
