Episode 48: 2001: A Space Odyssey & Mr. Robot Season 3

Episode 48 marks the beginning of Hemant’s exploration of films by Stanley Kubrick. Over the next several weeks he will be watching various films from this iconic director’s filmography. In this inaugural episode he visits 2001: A Space Odyssey from 1968. He’s not proud of it, but this is the first time Hemant has watched this film. He gives his thoughts on this space opera, while also taking some time to talk about a few of the more popular theories that try to make heads or tails of this movie. Hemant also briefly talks about season 3 of the TV series Mr. Robot and why he has a love/hate relationship with this series. 00:41 – Introduction 3:11 – Mr. Robot, Season 3 10:58 – 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) 40:00 – Next Week 43:59 – Wrap-up ‘Mr. Robot’ Creator and Cinematographer Reveal What It Took to Make Episode 5 Look Like One Long Take on IndieWire 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY Meaning of the Monolith Revealed PART 1 (2014 update) by Rob Ager 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY Meaning of the Monolith Revealed PART 2 (2014 update) by Rob Ager Follow Hemant on Twitter at @hjnaidu and on Letterboxd Follow The Red 7 Movie Cast Podcast on Twitter at @redsevencast Please subscribe on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, or TuneIn.
