Hey Kid’s, it’s time for Record Review BaDaBoom; I’m your host Michael Welch. In this episode I talk about Billy Stewart, the Unbelievable LP, released in 1966. I remember driving in my car, in Orlando, when this came on the radio, it’s Billy Stewart singing the George Gershwin composition, Summertime, playing drums on this album is Maurice White from Earth, Wind and Fire. Dig it. This 45 record became a Top 40 hit on both pop and R& B charts. This LP, called Unbelievable is rare on Ebay. Billy Stewart and this album was a Chess Records project, great Chicago musicians. You can hear the production with acoustic bass, vibraphone, piano, brass, woodwinds and tight written arrangements.
