What happens when Santa Clarita real estate interest rates rise is there an impact on home sellers and buyers?
Interest rates - in order to off set inflation - that is the reason right? Interest rates have been historically low for a long while. I remember when I bought my first home the interest rate was 16% - to see them sub three and to have that now, incredible. So when I watch as they start to rise, I know that most are very uncomfortable with that happening. Also, those same folks were also, in many cases, willing to waive their appraisal contingencies. In other words, they stated they were willing to buy a home without caring about the cost, or at least that they would make up the difference between the appraised value and what they said they were willing to pay for the property.This can be a bad decision without the proper guide. Santa Clarita home experts present the last real estate radio show for Santa Clarita Valley that you will need to listen to as it concerns real estate on the local level. I'm Connor MacIvor with Santa Clarita home experts. I have been selling and helping real estate buyers, buy real estate since 1998 and I'm glad to be of service.When you buy real estate, there are some charges that are not "covered" by those who represent home buyers. There are also unknown items that buyers will request from home sellers, and in some cases, it takes a while and having to contact another entity to fulfill that request.If the sellers are not educated, the time may have elapsed and that creates issues with the home buyer's contractual time frames. The same applies to the home buyer on the seller's side - however, because you are a home seller, and have bought at least one home, the home buyer is viewed to be more capable of a "loss" so their rights could be viewed by some as being "more robust" in the legal system.
