She previously served as the U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy during the Trump Administration. In that position, she was the primary author of the landmark 2017 National Security Strategy. Given the Biden Administration’s publication of their own National Security Strategy last month, Roger and Nadia assessed the new strategy and compared the Trump Administration’s approach with the Biden Administration’s approach.

On this episode, Roger sits down with former Senator Phil Gramm, a former economics professor from Texas A&M University who served as the U.S. Senator from Texas from 1985 to 2002. Roger and Sen. Gramm discussed the lessons that President Reagan’s economic policies can teach us today in addition to his new book, The Myth of American Inequality: How Government Biases Policy Debate.

On this episode, Roger sits down with Lt. Col. Scott Mann. He is a retired Green Beret with over twenty years of Army and Special Operations experience and is the author of the new book, Operation Pineapple Express: The Incredible Story of a Group of Americans Who Undertook One Last Mission and Honored a Promise in Afghanistan. Roger and Scott discuss the story of a group of retired Green Berets who came together to save over 500 Afghans who were targeted by the Taliban in the midst of America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

He was a member of the U.S. delegation at the 1986 Reykjavik Summit between Reagan and Gorbachev, which he describes in his book, Reagan at Reykjavik.
