What are my rights and what should I do? I have been living with my boyfriend for 16 years. He has proposed to me but wants me to sign a pre nuptial agreement. Is this advantageous? Is it true I can divorce my husband because I don’t like him anymore and he makes me unhappy? My wife has transferred her assets prior to our divorce and hidden them. I’ve heard about being able to dig up assets where I have a stake. Is this possible? My husband has left the house for over 6 months now and says he isn’t coming back. Is this grounds for divorce?

Phil Richards interviews Claire McParland of Stowe Family Law on divorce related issues. Here are the questions: I want to divorce my husband of 6 years. He says that he wants half of everything including half of my personal possessions! This includes gifts he has given to me over the years. Is this possible? I began divorce proceedings recently but have lost contact with my wife and so has her solicitor. She has sent me a hand written letter saying she has left the country, wants nothing to do with me and doesn’t want to be found. Only her friends know where she is living. What should I do to make sure the divorce goes through? I am in the middle of divorcing my husband who know lives in the US. I suspect from social media posts that he has remarried in the US before our divorce has been finalised. Will this affect divorce proceedings here in the UK? I am recently married and am concerned about my husbands identity. When we got to the airport to go on honeymoon I noticed a completely different name in his passport to who he told me he was. What is going on here and does this affect the legality of our marriage? I am divorcing my husband of 10 years. I have been told by his best friend that he recently went to his bank and withdrew all his savings in cash, and he won’t be declaring the money as part of the divorce settlement and it’s a substantial amount. What happens in this situation?

I am a record producer and am divorcing my wife. I am likely to receive royalty payments for the rest of my life. Will my wife be able to claim a portion of my future income or can I petition for a final settlement?

He plans to go to University at 18 – will I still have to pay maintenance until he finishes Uni given he will still be in full time education? I want to get divorced from my husband and re marry. What’s the quickest amount of time I can get divorced? I have been married for 11 years and now want a divorce. The problem is I cannot find my marriage certificate and the priest that married us says the book where are our marriage was recorded was destroyed in a fire. What should I do? I divorced my wife 3 years ago and our children live with her. She wants to change our children’s school which I am opposed to. She won’t reason with me so can I take the matter to court? My son is getting divorced and says his wife will try and stop us as grand parents from seeing our grand children. I’ve heard of ‘grand parents rights’ but would these allow a court to grant us access to our grand children?
