Rather than Kat and Amara talk about recruiting and recruitment as outsiders making guesses about how it all works, it seems a much better idea to invite an actual recruiter onto the program to talk about the process of profesional recruitment in the tech sector and the challenges women face.Many thanks to Shini for tolerating our inane questions and being a most excellent guest.

Ashfia, Kat, and Amara dive into the topic of microagressions, looking at what they are and how they impact the lives of women and PoC working in tech and how we, as leaders in the tech space as women, can help combat their presence. 

It may not be one of the first things people would pick from a list of skills effective leaders need, but empathy is a genuinely underrated skill that is so vital for leaders to cultivate. Kat and Amara discuss their perspectives on it, having it, demonstrating it, and being women leaders in tech where "Tech Bro" culture and toxic behaviour has devalued the skill historically.
