As the year was drawing (thank God) to a close we here at Purple City decided to take time to reflect so, decamping to a log cabin in rural North Norfolk, Matthew & Ashley sat down to chop it up on the highs and (dizzying) lows of 2019. From the release of Jabru's sterling debut album Ill Conceived and the boys favourite drops from other labels to celebrity sex offenders and Ant & Dec's Alien Autopsy the only stones left unturned were largely the ones with genuine nuggets of 2019 cultural gold. In a rare change of pace Sonic Waffle manages to limp back into your life for its SECOND (count ’em) episode of total nonsense in under  twelve calendar months… well, sort of. Sonic Waffle makes its shambolic return and this time we’ve got Dom Howard aka Ruckspin aka the man who makes all the Submotion Orchestra  albums sound so voluptuous… This one is without a doubt the messiest yet as Bayfield and Ruckspin made the frankly foolish decision to spend the  day in the pub watching the World Cup before recording.
