Travis Newaza and Jesse Bell crank it up in Vegas!

Mihail Kunchev, half of the globe trotting BJJ Nomad series calls into the show to talk to the guys about exploring the BJJ capital of the world: Dubai. Wait, Dubai?

Travis and Chris head over to Coach Tyler Wombles’ new gym Classic Fight Team in Costa Mesa California to chat up UFC fighter Ashlee Evans-Smith and her training partner Joe Murphy. The group talks about her upcoming fight on Feb 21st against Marion Reneau, play ‘swipe left or right’ on jiujitsu moves, and finish up by asking her to divulge her creepiest moment online since becoming a UFC star.

The guys are on a road trip to check out white-hot-brand-new 10th Planet Las Vegas where they're celebrating the grand opening with The Gentle Art Seminar: Super Roll Weekend. Head Dude In Charge Casey Halstead takes a couple minutes out of his busy day of training and cornering UFC fighters to talk to us and reveal how he's been able to create an uber successful multi-state jiujitsu empire. (Spoiler Alert: It has to do with recognizing and encouraging talent, but listen anyway to get it straight from him).

Travis Newaza has been invited to compete in a Super Fight against 3rd degree black belt Travis Tooke at the Onnit Invitational 8 Man Grappling Tournament for the grand opening of 10th Planet Austin at the Onnit Academy, so naturally Chris packs a weekend backpack full of mics and tags along! After the tournament the guys sit down with Onnit CEO Aubree Marcus to talk about the burgeoning Texas grappling scene and how it all fits into living the optimized life. Then, the night starts getting weird when we abduct Alex Jones and drag him into our makeshift podcast studio for a talk about martial arts (or is that what the Illuminati wants you to think we did???). Finally, the show flows into a makeshift UFC Fight Companion co-hosted by The Jiujitsu Podcast guys Rob, Robert, and Joey, 10th Planet Austin Head Instructor Curtis Hembroff, New Mexico’s favorite son ‘Nasty’ Nate Harris, 10th Planet Decatur’s wrestler-beater Brandon Mccaghren, and opponent turned all around cool guy Travis Tooke, to name just a few!!!

The guys get together (minus Jesse) after the holidays to talk about the state of jiujitsu and grappling, EBI6, 10th Planet/Onnit Austin, and everything else.

Travis and Chris take a trip to pay homage to living legend Chris Haueter at his Combat Base academy in San Pedro California. Chris Haueter is one of the 'Dirty Dozen', the first 12 American BJJ blackbelts. He's also an artist and his old school dojo reflects his many creative interests. The guys were lucky enough to arrive on a day where Chris awarded a black belt to a proud student and got to talk to him about the old days and the new adventures after a session of rolling.

The guys take a field trip to broadcast live from EBI5, the best grappling show in town. We get a ticket to the locker room to report straight from the fighters' perspective.

What's the only thing better than having a grappling genius on the show? Having 2. Jacob Harman, the genius behind Cavalry Chapel’s Churchboyz Wrestling Team, calls in to test our mental toughness.
