Welcome to episode 106 of #PositronicRadio! Lots new happening these days. I'm leaving my current job with which I've been for over a decade and I'm starting a new job. Same field (Software Development), but moving from the public sector to the private sector. I'm pretty excited, but nervous. It's a long needed change though. On the DJ Reverie front, I'm starting a series of new theme nights at The Koven, a Heavy Metal-themed restaurant / bar in Ottawa that'll be happening every second Thursday starting on November 1st. Other than being a huge fan of this type of music, I'm a huge Metal fan so this is pretty exciting for me. The theme nights will rotate between: Dark Metal night: mix of Symphonic Metal, Melodic Metal, Gothic Metal, and Dark Rock; Extreme Metal night: mix of Thrash Metal, Death Metal, and Black Metal; Metalcore night: mix of Hardcore, Metalcore, Deathcore, Emocore, and Post-Hardcore; Gothic / Industrial night: this kind of stuff that you normally hear on my podcast plus a bit more Goth Rock and Darkwave.
