Human Trafficking & The Drive for Dragonfly
Hello! Welcome the fourth episode in season 2 of the Poor in Spirit Podcast. This was originally going to be our third installment in the Gender and Sexuality series, but we decided to do something a little different. During the month of December, The Dragonfly Home, a local non-profit that serves survivors of human trafficking, hosts the Drive for Dragonfly campaign to raise awareness and funds. This is Rachel's second year doing the drive and we thought it would be a good time to bring on some of our dear friends who are also participating, Maddie Smith, Bailey Edrington, and Bella Starchman, to have a good chat. Join us as we discuss what human trafficking is, what the Drive for Dragonfly is, and the reasons for our passion behind fighting this injustice. We did record this episode via zoom, so we apologize for any audio issues! As mentioned on the episode, here is a plethora of links for your continued research into this topic: U.S. Trafficking in Persons Reports The Dragonfly Home Dressember International Justice Mission The Polaris Project Rachel's Drive Maddie's Drive Bailey's Drive Bella's Drive

Honesty Hour Part II
In this episode we continue the conversation we started in a previous episode simply titled "Honesty Hour." We have always taken a position of vulnerability on this podcast, and today is no different. We wanted to give you all a heads up that Abby will be stepping away from the podcast. Even though there may be mixed feelings about this news, God is still completely in control and we are trying to follow His lead by making this hard decision. Though Rachel will still be continuing this journey, she is still figuring out what the future will look like. Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this far! We hope you continue to listen, share, and find the voice of Jesus through our stories.
