Ep. #6 "The Eight World Wonder": Opening Our Hearts to Dissolve Resistance.
In this episode, I explore how opening our hearts is the gateway to accessing more of our untapped potential because it allows us to respond more tenaciously to disappointment. I share how my personal experiences of opening my heart more fully, means that I can no longer protect my image or how others perceive me.This episode's poem explores the notion that turning towards the version of ourselves that is revealed through our set-backs enables us to experience the full splendor of how magnificent we truly are. What remains unloved within us are the socially sanctioned perceptions. emotions, aka our shadows. Therefore, the act of choosing to love more fully is a choice to be seen in public with typically socially rejected aspects of who we are.I share my sentiments about how these shadow aspects of us are now overdue to experience their desired sense of belonging. I believe that 2021 will be the year where our marginalized experiences insist on being offered the refuge of an open, honest and loving community.
