EP | 53 CoronaVirus COVID-19 and Oil Price War Spreads Panic
The Dow Jones Industrial average fell by 2,000 points on the first day of trading this week after an oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia drove prices to the lowest since 1991 started over the weekend! The oil war came on top of an already jittery market facing uncertain supply chain concerns from China and an explosion of COVID-19 cases in European Countries such as Italy. But should we be concerned? After all, the president has trumpeted the market’s rise as a sign of America’s comeback and success so is this fall a harbinger of more bad things to come?

American Workers First
We still need Border Security, immigration reform to reduce work visa programs, and America First worker policies are beginning to work ever so slightly for American workers.

Establishment Politics Breeds Hypocrisy
EP | 52 Establishment Politics Breeds Hypocrisy: It is no secret in American politics that fundraising and the need for it while you’re in office, drives who gets attention, what legislation gets drafted and supported through the process to get signed, and how much funding gets appropriated behind those laws. But does it inherently create a largely hypocritical elected official who will support policies they say they’re opposed to? Of course, it does, and here’s one funded by pro-abortion lobbyists who brags about his pro-life credentials on his campaign website!

Freedom of speech is precious
Freedom of speech is precious, and we must fight to protect and preserve our ability to practice it. I stand by conservative author, thinker, and activist Michelle Malkin and her outspoken criticism of what is being called Conservative Inc. She recently spoke at the inaugural America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC) and of course, is being bashed for not only speaking there, but defending some of the activists deemed inappropriate by “main stream conservative activists and groups aka “conservative inc.” But here’s the deal folks, the market of ideas doesn't function properly if we don't protect speech we disagree with. Can you imagine if I went around saying Democrat Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders shouldn't be allowed to speak about his love for communists? Or better yet, that Mike Bloomberg shouldn’t be able to talk about his protection through the use of firearms because he’s rich and gets threats within a few seconds of pitching his proposal to implement stringent gun controls on us law abiding citizens, leading me to wonder why he thinks making criminals of law abiding citizens is a workable solution when he’s been apologizing for a stop and frisk policy that did just that all around the country? The point here is that I wouldn’t know about people’s crazy ideas if their speech were suppressed. It’s that kind of thinking that leads to the rise of authoritarians who seem to burst on the scene of civilization all at once like Adolph Hitler did in the first part of the 20th Century. I remember that his ideas were suppressed so much that he actually was sent to prison to stop them. But, the opposite effect is what happens, while ideas are suppressed from public discussion, they grow and gain support in the underground, whether they are good or bad ideas. While I mention Hitler here as an example, the road to American independent can also be viewed through the same lens. In that case, the suppression of ideas resulted in a growth of them in the population out of sight of the oppressors, eventually leading to armed conflict over the ideas. There are many paths the founding of the United States could have taken but the British suppression of speech and other liberties like bearing arms, resulted in the suppressed ideas winning the day. The point? Suppression of freedom of speech keeps us from identifying ideas that can destroy our way of life until its too late to do anything about them, and if we support idea suppression, we deserve that destruction. Keep going Michelle, keep going

Super Tuesday
OK its super Tuesday and a couple of democrat candidates for president dropped out over the weekend, Buttigieg and Klobuchar, so they could get a deal with Biden I’m sure. Biden’s crushing win in South Carolina was a big harbinger for establishment candidates because they’re all still trying to say their political party still believes in American values even if every day we see direct evidence to contrary. They will fight to the bitter end to keep Bernie Sanders from winning and they’re doing their best to ignore Mike Bloomberg. Fauxchahontas Senator Warren is still in and I would be surprised to see her get out as long as sanders has a shot at the nomination. For the casual observers out there, you’re seeing what both political party’s establishment wings try to do so don’t get any ideas that either party is above slimy moves to keep their establishment in power. If you folks in the Republican party didn’t learn that lesson from the Trump campaign and his win, then you are “dumb as a box of rocks” as my EOD instructor used to say to our class when I was 17. They’re going to try and take Bernie’s nomination and that’s just the way it is. Do I ever want him to be President, absolutely not, but he is the most popular pick among the Democrat party base, which seriously favors socialism, as all the polling easily reveals every week? My challenge to the rest of us, who still believe in America’s foundational values, regardless of what political party we’re in, is get out there and work to defeat the Democrat party up and down the ballot, and work hard, because the Bernie Bro’s are.

Are we finally closing out the endless Afghanistan war?
President Trump does try to keep his promises, whether we agree with them or not, you have to give him that. The United States and the Taliban have agreed to a seven-day period of violence reduction as a prelude to finalizing a truce so the Afghanistan government and the Taliban can reach their own agreement to move the country forward in a peaceful way. This is fantastic news and according to Secretary of State Pompeo the violence reduction period is holding.

Will Democrats nominate avowed Socialist Sanders?
I know, before you tell me but, but he’s a Democratic Socialist let me just call bull feces on that right now. The man is on the record defending the Castro regime because of its literacy programs when it came to power while it was simultaneously taking private property from millions of citizens, executing and imprisoning property owners who resisted, killing minorities like gay people.

China Coronavirus outbreak update
The virus continues to spread worldwide with Italy being the latest country to identify rapidly spreading infection. While China’s reporting has been shaky at best, the spread of the virus here in the United States is very limited so far. The US has restricted travel from China and established quarantine centers around the country for cruise ship passengers and other Americans who’ve come in contact with potential carriers. With a pandemic announcement likely looming from the world health organization, the virus spread while alarming, the appropriate measures being taken are having a positive impact on its spread. The largest immediate impact beyond world health is economic in nature and we all need to be aware of that. We saw a 3 percent drop in the stock market this week as the western democracies saw large increases in cases in Italy and manufacturers start to feel the real stresses on the global market caused by supply chain disruption due to China’s attempts to get the virus spread under control. Major impacts are likely to continue and worsen as more time passes without restrictions in China being lifted on travel and business operation. One major concern is the impact on pharmaceutical supply to the United States. Large numbers of drugs used to treat serious medical conditions are manufactured or their key components are produced in China. Medicines such as antibiotics amoxicillin, doxycycline, penicillin and other’s availabilities will be impacted as China continues it’s lock down of factory workers because 90% of their sourcing is in China. Are we at disaster levels yet? No, but the indicators are there that the strong possibility of a major supply chain disruption in manufacturing and medicine/medical device production is there: Apple corporation is reporting its unable to meet revenue targets this quarter due to reduced manufacturing and sales, the US Food and Drug Administration recently advised that potential disruptions may be on the horizon, and large medical technology company Medtronics recently announced its production is affected by factory closures continuing in China. By no means is it time to panic but all of us should be aware of what is really happening and why. As the US Centers for Disease Control have recently said, we must expect more cases of the virus and the need to take actions like telework and school, social distancing etc. So far, government and non-government leaders around the world, especially in the United States, are assessing supply chain impacts as they deal with this very fluid and evolving coronavirus situation.

What is wrong with Democrat Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg?
A viral video of his comments saying farmers don’t have the intellectual capacity to work in today’s digital information world seem to highlight a sever lack of knowledge about how things really work. America’s Farmers are innovative, hardworking, and have the intelligence to be experts in environmental protection, chemistry, meteorology, agronomy, veterinary science, entomology, and in the 21st century, digital technology. American farmers have always been at the cutting edge of technology revolutions and often are the inventors of emerging technologies throughout our history. The nation’s first president, George Washington, was an innovative farmer who worked to continuously improve his knowledge until the day he died. American farmers don’t tend to retire, they keep working all their lives because they are the citizens that know what it takes to feed a national, and even a world population, but they’re also very dedicated to our country and keeping it strong. They love freedom and liberty and know firsthand why government should be less involved in free markets rather than more involved. It was farmers who pushed for NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement) to be scrapped, because it hurt the American farming markets in a way that left them unable to compete! It was farmers like my ancestor that volunteered to fight for and win America’s independence from a despot King. So, we owe our farmers everything, from our nation’s founding to the food and clothes we eat and wear today and here’s a suggestion Mike: get some farmers and real working Americans on your inner circle team if you want to be a serious candidate.

EP 51 | Two-Tiered Justice in America
In the wake of the media blow up over the incident surrounding the sentencing memorandum of Roger Stone I keep hearing wailing and gnashing of teeth about President Trump overstepping and trying to inappropriately influence the Department of Justice. The problem is, the facts don’t support the whiner’s hypothesis AND they do support the concern of Americans like me, that we seem to have a two-tier justice system now, one for us outside the administrative state, and one for those inside. Out here away from the Washington DC bubble, we know there’s no way forward for any nation to survive unequal justice for all.

The New York Times is unhappy about the Daytona 500, oh no!
The New York Times is unhappy about the Daytona 500, oh no! Times reporter Maggie Habberman commented “Using the official apparatus of government for what appears to be a political event” when the President of the United States made an appearance at what is known as “America’s Race” and taking his limousine known as “The Beast” for a lap around the track, a first for any President. But please folks, don’t buy into this propaganda that what the President did was somehow wrong or even violated any norms by attending, as others have, or using the trappings of his office while at the event. These actions are NORMAL for Presidents and Vice Presidents of the United States. For example, when I commanded an air force base in New Mexico, BOTH President Obama and Vice President Biden made trips out there in Air Force 1 and 2 a few weeks apart, both used motorcades and all the trappings of their offices including media releases to highlight the visits. My team provided security on the base, aircraft servicing, and parking for the aircraft and the vehicles. But guess what, both were there for explicitly political reasons and I was told that when I requested they visit with our service members and their families if possible. To their credit both did take the time to work a rope line on their way to their political events. Here’s the point, we live in some interesting times but also dangerous times. For major media to push misleading stories like the Daytona 500 race visit mischaracterization is detrimental to all of us, not just the individual occupying the Oval Office they don’t like. Finally, I hope you’re all praying with me for the recovery of driver Ryan Newman, who had a devastating crash on the last lap of the race. God bless you all.

Political Violence: Attempted mass casualty attack on Trump supporters
Attempted mass casualty attack on Trump supporters, two attempted police officer assassinations in NYC, Antifa owning the public square through threats of violence in Portland ... wow and where is the legacy media? ignoring the facts because they don't fit their propaganda lines. Seriously? Yes, absolutely. Republican volunteers in Jacksonville, Fla., were registering people to vote in a shopping center Saturday afternoon when a man drove a van through their red tent, then fled, according to law enforcement officials, an incident that has drawn condemnation from prominent Florida lawmakers and President Trump. One crazy unlicensed driver, known as a theater worker, has been arrested and at least the Duval County Democrat party has condemned the attack. But where are all the Democrat Presidential candidates? If this had been some crazed Trump supporter every Republican official in sight would be called on by the legacy media to condemn this political violence but not so with the left. And in the gun control bastion of New York City, two police officers were targeted for assassination last Sunday. The perpetrator was captured at the second attempt, but the Mayor, Bill DeBlasio, is being criticized heavily by organizations representing rank and file police officers and the NYPD commissioner said at a press conference that words matter, and during recent protests people at the protest were attacking police in their speeches and messaging. Words do matter and so do actions. In Portland Oregon this weekend the group Antifa was caught on video again threatening violence and even pushed a left-wing demonstrator in front of traffic when she dared try to call the police. And speaking of the police, Oregon PD told conservatives asking for help not to expect if rom them during the same demonstration. This pathetic excuse for a public safety department should be disbanded if it doesn’t protect and serve all citizens. I ask you all, when will this end? When will all media call for the law to be applied to everyone equally?

EP 50. Racism!
Over eight years of the Obama Administration America saw political rhetoric invoke the term racism or racist aimed at conservatives so often that the idea appears now embedded completely in our culture. So much so, that ALL white Americans are considered racists without evidence otherwise and our institutions are blamed for a systemic racism that goes so deep, the left appears to believe that America as it exists today cannot possibly remain intact. Do we really need to destroy our nation’s institutions to eliminate these accusations? Apparently, a lot of folks think so, just ask Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and her boyfriend!

Nuclear Deterrence Matters
The elites in Washington are at it again as many of the so-called smart folks oppose the Navy’s deployment of low yield re-entry vehicles on submarine launched intercontinental ballistic missiles to further deter a new Russian strategy that openly advocates early nuclear weapon use in the event they are in a losing war with NATO on the European continent. I know, lots of technical mumbo jumbo, right? Here’s the bottom line: the Russians have long sought an effective low yield nuclear capability, otherwise known as “tactical nukes” and the USA has field some also. But, many of the USA’s adversaries have come to believe that we would never use our nuclear arsenal because our current agreements have left us with large yield (think a mushroom cloud 10 times or more larger than Hiroshima) because of many thoughtless comments from recent USA national security leaders like Barack Obama and his crowd. That’s bad for nuclear deterrence. The situation with the Iranians we face in asymmetric warfare is a good lesson here: the Iranians willfully went after the USA in the Iraq war and with proxies in other areas of the Middle East for years because we made ourselves appear weak and it got worse with the Iran Nuke Deal. We were forced to kill Soleimani in order to re-establish deterrence in that arena and they still fired a barrage of short-range ballistic missiles at our bases in Iraq. This 5 kilo-ton warhead, affectionately known as the W76-2, a modified version of the Navy’s W-76, re-establishes the fact that we have an extremely accurate and rapid capability to respond to ANY adversary that decides they could get away with small nuclear attacks in any theater. Yes Russia, yes China, and yes, I’m talking to you also Iran. If you attempt such folly, we will find you and you will pay a price that you never expected to pay. Don’t do it.

States of the Union!
President Trump highlighted his administration’s accomplishments in the actual state of the union, and we are great again. Our country has record low unemployment especially for African Americans, Hispanics, and women; rising wages and the highest percentage rise in the lower wage bracket seen in a decade, homeownership is up, destroying global terrorists like ISIS Al-Baghdadi and the world’s worst, Iranian Soleimani, and highest US optimism levels since the Reagan years. On the other side, in that other union, the Democrats can tout the destruction of American’s confidence in our institutions from Crossfire Hurricane, confirmed illegal spying on a presidential campaign, the failed Mueller probe, the failed impeachment, and finally the failed Iowa caucus.

America’s Civil Rights: The Second Amendment Sanctuary Movement
EP 48. “We find that the right to keep and bear arms is a “civil right,’” are words you can find in a January 24, 2020 opinion written by the Illinois Supreme Court in a gun rights case. Until the Heller decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, this issue had not been addressed in a legal sense, but now we are beginning to see the inevitable long-term decisions and opinions from the court system one would expect. The decision occurred amidst the blur of activity in Virginia, with a new Democrat-controlled legislature advancing Red Flag laws, extreme limits on gun purchasing, and assault weapons ban bills. bills that would create felons out of law-abiding gun owners if they don’t comply. The all-out assault on gun rights in the state has led to a gun law sanctuary movement with 91 of 95 Virginia Counties declaring themselves gun law sanctuary’s refusing to follow any gun control law deemed unconstitutional.

What do today’s Americans hold dear?
Famous basketball player Kobe Bryant’s tragic death in a helicopter crash has generated nationwide mourning. It is very interesting that a man who once faced sexual assault charges and even admitted to an “adulterous” relationship with the 19-year-old hotel employee accuser, is now being nearly beatified by fawning sports fans. In ordinary times I don’t think I would have a second thought about a sports hero with a shady past being lionized by his fans but we don’t live in ordinary times. In the hours before and after Bryant’s death, 11 Americans were killed in the service to our country, do you know that, let alone the names of these actual American heroes? Here are two of them: killed serving in Afghanistan, Staff Sgt. Ian Paul McLaughlin of Newport News, Virginia, and Pfc. Miguel Angel Villalon of Joliet, Illinois. The two paratroopers were assigned to Company B, 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, according to a news release. I’m ok with celebrating sports figures lives AND these heroes, but not celebrating one to the exclusion of others. God bless them all and their families.

Bolton’s Bombshell Fizzles
The fake news media is at it again. The New York Times released another of its “timed release” of a “leak” from White House staff reviewing Ambassador John Bolton’s, former Trump National Security Advisor, book manuscript. The leak exposes, once again, weak attempts of the Washington Swamp government insiders to undermine the current President and this time on his impeachment defense. My prediction: just like Adam Schiff’s “more than circumstantial evidence” of the Trump Campaign’s fake collusion with Russia, the Mueller Report’s conclusion that Schiff was wrong, and the latest, that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court declaring intelligence agency warrants approved to spy on the Trump campaign were presented in bad faith and unwarranted, this bombshell is just another misfire by the elitist propaganda machine. When will we end this farce? Our country is being gravely damaged by hyper-partisanship supported by insider elites and career government employees who disagree with the current administration on policy.

EP 47. Defending Liberty in America: Virginia Lobby Day Gun Rights Rally
Peaceful, non-violent, law abiding Americans from all walks of life showed up protecting their 2nd Amendment rights. Martin Luther King would have been proud of the estimated 22,000 people that rallied in Richmond on the holiday set aside to honor him. Contrast these words with the racist Democrat Governor Ralph Northam’s words in the buildup to the rally: White supremacists, violent intent, extremists, emergency declaration suspending gun rights at the capitol. The contrast between a made-up emergency by government and reality couldn’t be clearer. Our guest today is Nick Freitas, is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 30. Freitas is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 7th Congressional District and served in the United States Army, including two tours in Iraq.
