Wow what a ride! This was one of the most fun Yankees season in a while. Unfortunately, the team wasn’t able to get it done in Game 7 in Houston, and thus the season has come to an end. But there is a lot to be excited about which I talk about in this episode, plus I recap game 7 as well. 

Severino dominated the first 4 innings but then lost it in the 5th. David Robertson also struggled and Justin Verlander dominated. The Yankees eventually lost it 7-1, the only run coming from a solo shot from Judge. 

Tanaka had another brilliant outing and the Yankees were finally able to get to Dallas Keuchel as they win this one 5-0 and take a 3-2 series lead in the ALCS. 

Gary and Judge finally woke up and carried the team today! 5 RBIs between the two gave the Yankees the 6-4 victory after being down 4-0 in the 7th. The series is now tied 2-2. 

A beautiful game all around for the Yankees. CC, the stopper, gave the Yankees 6 scoreless. Frazier and Judge each homered. The DH finally got a hit! 

Verlander had a great game. The Yankees pitching had an amazing game as well, but they ended up losing this one 2-1. Going back to the Bronx down 0-2. 

What a ballgame. The Yankees were able to complete the comeback, coming back from being down 0-2 to head to the ALCS. CC was great, the bullpen was better, and Didi was the hero. 

Severino didn’t want to end the season with his Wild Card outing and boy are we glad he didn’t. He had an amazing outing in Game 4 of the ALDS, and the offense had RBIs from 5 different players. Great game all around for the Yankees as they force Game 5 back in Cleveland. 

Tanaka was absolutely brilliant. Bird had a clutch solo shot that gave the Yankees the 1-0 lead. The Yankees survived to see another game. 

Severino didn’t have it but that didn’t matter, as the Yankees were able to win this one 8-4 and extend their postseason hopes to the ALDS. 

Yankees finished strong winning 2 out of 3 agains the Blue Jays. Finish the season with 20 games over .500 and are going into the Wild Card game as the clear favorites. I recap this series and give me thoughts on the season. 

This was a game the Yankees needed to win. A game they could’ve easily won if it not were for Gray struggling a bit, Gary’s passed balls, and Girardi making questionable decisions. 

Severino ended his regular season with another strong outing. Three Yankees go yard and Judge sets another rookie record, as the Yankees win 6-1. 

Hicks saved a grandslam in the first inning that completely changed the tone of this game. Montgomery was able to bounce back from that and keep the Yankees in it, allowing just 1 run over 6 innings. The Yankees offense continued to score, as they scored 6 in this one to win it 6-1. 

Judge with #49 and #50 of the season to set a new rookie homerun record. Plus Gary and Bird also homered. The Baby Bombers lift the Yankees to a 11-3 win. 

The Yankees were able to secure a spot in the postseason, as they will make it AT LEAST as the second wild card but the series in Toronto was a bit of a rough one as they drop 2 out of 3. But Bird is looking good and even better is Judge, whom hit 3 homeruns in this series - giving him a total of 48, one away from the rookie record of 49. 

Severino didn’t have it today, but the bullpen (specifically Chasen Shreve) and the offense, completely dominated. The Yankees win this one 11-3 to complete the sweep and give themselves a 7 game lead in the Wild Card standings. 

A one run game that went the Yankees game! Who would’ve thunk it! Judge with his 44th homer of the season, Garcia with his best outing and the bullpen dominated (except for Betances) to give the Yankees the 2-1 win against the team in the second wild card spot, the Twins. 

Garcia pitched pretty well. The bullpen was almost lights out. It was an intense one, but the Yankees came on top 3-2. 

Sonny Gray completely dominated. Allowing just 2 runs (both solo shots) on 8 innings pitched. The offense, however, had only 3 hits and scored only one run. Not what you want.
