So far we have or will be sending face shields to ⠀ ⠀ ❤️ Elmhurst Hospital, The Bronx, New York⠀ 🧡 Vidant Hospital, Greenville NC⠀ 💛 Spokane, Washington⠀ 💚 Lenoir County, NC⠀ 💙 Winston-Salem, NC⠀ ⠀ And we hope to send face shields to many more hospitals in need!⠀ ⠀ Here are some of the stories of people who we have donated face shields to (swipe to see)⠀ ⠀ 🖤 An anesthesiologist from Lenoir County stopped by our office this morning wanting to donate + bring 12 face shields to his workplace because they didn’t have enough. Because of your generous donations, we were able to give him 13 extra in addition to his donation to get 12! He took back 25 total face shields!⠀ ⠀ 🖤 Our friend @jennisuglychocolates has a sister in Spokane (where the first outbreak occurred in U.S.). We are sending 12 face shields to her to wear while she intubates patients Monday morning! ⠀ ⠀ 🖤 Our GoFundMe has had 461 shares and 61 donors, all in 2 days⠀ ⠀ 🖤 @tylerdhardin shared our story on News Channel 12 last night to get the word out about face shield donations ⠀ ⠀ 🖤 Today I talked with Warren Allen and Scott Allenspach about what we’re doing. They’re sharing a podcast + video soon with more details about how we’re going to scale production, get costs down, and get more face shields to people who need them⠀ ⠀ It has been heartwarming to see our community show up for each other in such a huge way.
