The first few chapters of Genesis are rich with wisdom.This week, I start early, dig deep, and go slow to uncover truths.

Let's be honest, when reading scripture we have two different voices. One for the Old Testament and one for the New Testament. The Old Testament voice is angry and the New Testament voice is friendly, yet according to scripture this should not be the case. Where do we go wrong? Do we need to come to another understanding of Scripture? Also, I play a round of "Hallmark movie or not?"

Whitt and I discuss the recent star wars movie, snow in Alabama and I discuss a running theme I call "Divine Revelations of Fatherhood"

I sit down with my best friend, Josh. We discuss football ( we're not athletes), go on a few food-fueled rabbit trails, and finally discuss "finding" God when He doesn't seem present.

This week I sit down with my best friend and we talk life. More accurately, we discuss customers from the perspective of a retail manager in a little segment I like to call "Retail Wrap-Up". Also, because this was recorded 2 months before and I'm just getting to it, we discuss the 'ol NFL kneeling situation and how we personally, as Christians, view the issue....you know, because you asked and needed another opinion on the topic.

This week I wrap up my interview with Daniel and Kassie. More fun, hilarity, and tales of so so many children.

This week I talk with Daniel and Kassie Smith who, among other things, are fostering numerous children. Daniel is an international worship leader who I often confuse for Bigfoot and Kassie is the brains behind the whole operation. We'll discuss how they realized their calling,  the struggles they have, and what's next. Also, we play "how well do you know yourself?" and I confront Daniel over a fake axe I have to grind with him.

Do we ever stop to think about prayer? Do we pray correctly? Is there a correct way and if so, what is it? Listen to this episode as I ask more questions than I can answer, but thankfully come to a few conclusions. Also, I begin telling my oldest son I time-honored family story.
