AUGUST BIRTHDAY ACCOLADES!
Hello great one, welcome to the 2021 social love campaign tagged: ‘Celebrate Me Now’. My name is Pat Obilor, the creative lead for ‘Celebrate me Now’ challenge which was launched in 2020 to inspire us all, to celebrate one another while alive. I know we all have our personal struggles and life can be too demanding of our time and resources but still, we tend to be unavailable, less bothered about people that matters until they are gone or until we know they will die soon... When this happens, suddenly, we remember the good they did for us, the smiles they gave us, the recommendations and opportunities they introduced to us... etc. We begin to bring out pictures and videos of the phenomenal things they did while on earth and try to hide the fact that we didn't care or appreciate them enough. While it is not wrong to give accolades to the dead and let the world know how important they were, I also believe it is time we celebrate people while alive too. We should not wait for death to show people what they meant to us, because by then, they wouldn’t even know and this is the reason for the #CelebrateMeNowChallengeTo achieve this campaign for this year, I have decided to celebrate everyone born in the month of August including myself. Since I am not sure which persons was born in August, I have chosen to use some famous persons as a yardstick to connect with others. To achieve this, I have curated a list, designed a collage, produced a Podcast (this one) and also used my various social platforms to celebrate global icons born in the month of August. So if you are reading or watching this, and you are born in the month of August, kindly celebrate yourself under the comment section, state your birthday date and also tag someone born in August. Before I proceed to celebrating YOU, myself and some of our global icons born in August, permit me to remind you of your August unique qualities and traits. Congratulations if you are born in August. We are stubborn, not easily impressed, we love attention and we are go getters. We are confident, we believe in authority, power and can be self-aggrandizing. We Tend to Make Good Leaders due to our Outgoing Personality so you better Treat us like the Royalty that we are when we decide to come out of our cherished Solitude. August babies can be very funny witty, hardworking, and practical. They have an appealing personality too. When it comes to love and relationships, you can leave us with your heart and go to mars… we are loyal to the core until you touch the taunt the Lion in us. Now you know who you are… smiles...
