In Depth Study of the Epistle of James, Chapter 2 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Feb. 8, 2020
For our study this session we will be in James Chapter 2. James will be exhorting us to be a witness that we possess a genuine faith in Christ, not just by words, but also by our 'works'. These are works that are produced as a result of coming into the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. He reminds us that 'Faith without works is dead, being alone'. Genuine faith will always have a corresponding action or actions that corroborate genuine faith in Christ.

In Depth Study of the Epistle of James, Chapter 1 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Feb. 1, 2020
We are entering into a brand new study this session in the Epistle of James. This letter is a very practical letter showing us how we are to endure testing and trials. Many times we are hit with the trials of life that cause us to be rocked backward and forward, but if we will put into practice what James is teaching us, we will come through victorious over the trials of life every time.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 13 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Jan. 25, 2019
We are concluding our study of Paul's Epistle to the Hebrews with the final chapter 13. Paul, in this chapter, offers several exhortations to the Hebrew Christians to continue 'to love'. To love is the Greek verb 'agapeo' and describes what we are to 'do' with the love of God that has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. This is why I have entitled this study, 'Let brotherly love continue'; the title to this study taken from the first verse. I hope you enjoyed our time of study together and have been encouraged through the teaching of the Word of God. I have certainly enjoyed studying and teaching this wonderful epistle myself. Amen.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 12 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Jan. 18, 2020
In this session of the Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast, We will be in Hebrews Chapter 12. Paul is exhorting and encouraging the Hebrew Christians to remain faithful to Christ, for He is the Author and Finisher of their faith. There is a message in this chapter for us today; we can be surrounded by testings and trials that, if we get our eyes off of the Lord Jesus, can tempt us to turn away from Christ and the Church. This is what Paul is warning and exhorting the Hebrew Christians not to do. We have the 'Heroes of the Faith' that have shown us the way to victory, Jesus Himself, being our greatest example of overcoming victory. So, let this chapter encourage us in, whatever we may be going through presently, to continue to look to Jesus, and consider Him, for He is our Great High Priest, our Savior our the Soon Coming King.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 11 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Jan. 11, 2020
In this session we will be studying Hebrews Chapter 11, which many people call the 'Faith Chapter' or the 'Heroes of Faith Chapter'. Paul has given us, in the first 10 chapters of the Epistle to the Hebrews, a clear picture of the excellency of Christ as our Great God, King and High Priest; the One who ever lives to intercede for us. Now, what are we going to do with what Paul has laid out for us? Chapter 11 tells us what we are to do and that is we are going to go forward in faith, doing the will of God and fulfilling the plan and purpose which the Lord has called us to. The Believer is 'The Just' and it is the just who are to 'live by faith'.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 10 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Jan. 4, 2020
In this session of the study of the Word of God that is found in Paul's Epistle to the Hebrews, we will be in Chapter Ten. Paul will continue to compare the imperfections of the Old Testament system of sacrificial worship to the Perfect Sacrifice of Christ. This chapter also speaks to us of our 'being made perfect' through Him Who is our Savior and Lord. It is through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus, and our being made the righteousness of God by Him, that we can have boldness to enter into the presence of God, to 'obtain mercy, and the find grace to help in time of need'.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 9 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Dec. 28, 2019
We will be in Hebrews chapter 9 in our study today. In chapter 8 we looked at Christ in the Tabernacle and how all of the furnishings of the Tabernacle were types of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus fulfilled the types and shadows of the Tabernacle in the Wilderness. In Chapter 9 we will be looking at our relationship to the Tabernacle as followers of Jesus; us being In Him through New Birth. This term 'In Him' or 'In Christ is mentioned in the NT approximately 133 times. Jesus has fulfilled the types in the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and, through His resurrection has erected a Heavenly Tabernacle and has included believers as the True Worshipers of God through Him.

The Virgin Birth of Christ - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Dec. 21, 2019
In our study today, we are going to look into the Virgin Birth of Christ and we will be looking at this miraculous event from 5 different viewpoints. If we believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead - that His resurrection was miraculous, then we must also believe that His beginning here on Earth - His Virgin Birth was also miraculous.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 8 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Dec. 14, 2019
In this session we will be looking into Hebrews Chapter 8, which sums up what Paul has been writing in the last 3 chapters concerning the High Priestly Ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. What we are also beginning to see is our 'perfect' identification with Christ Jesus, not only in His Death, Burial and Resurrection, but also in His High Priestly Ministry; all believers being made a 'Kingdom of Priests' unto God and we will serve God in this capacity, with Christ as our Great High Priest forever. God has called us as a Chosen Generation; a Royal Priesthood; a Holy Nation; a Peculiar People, so that we may, throughout eternity, show forth the praises of Him, Who has called us out of darkness, into His marvelous Light. This wonderful and dynamic reality does not, however, overshadow the excellency and glory of our Savior Jesus Christ, the One who, as our Forerunner, has gone before us in order to prepare a place for us and Who will return again to receive us unto Himself. Praise God!

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 7 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Dec. 7, 2019
In this session we will be studying Hebrews Chapter 7. In this chapter Paul continues his comparison of the high priestly ministry of the Lord Jesus to that of the priesthood of Aaron. Paul proclaims the far superior ministry of the Lord Jesus concerning His priesthood. His present-day ministry was first proclaimed in the OT and fulfilled when Christ was raised from the dead and sat on the right hand of the Majesty on high. And, we too, have been raised up and made to sit, in Christ Jesus, at the right hand of the same Majesty on high. What a tremendous truth we see in this chapter concerning who our Glorious Savior is doing for us, and who we actually are in Him.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 6 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Nov. 30, 2019
In this session we will be looking into Hebrews Chapter Six. This chapter concerns Paul warning the Hebrew Christians of the danger of falling away from Christ. In view of the persecution the Jews who had accepted Christ as Savior and Messiah this was a very real test. It would be so much easier for them to walk away from Christ especially when the believing Jews were suffering the 'fiery trials' the Apostle Peter spoke of, but we can not go back!, for, if we do go back, where can we go? Also in this chapter, Paul continues speaking to believers of the high priestly ministry of the Lord Jesus and Paul also begins to speak of the Covenant of Abraham and what each of us has to do in order to inherit the promises of God.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 5 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Nov. 23, 2019
In our session today, we will be looking into Hebrews Chapter 5 which is Paul's introduction to the High Priestly ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Hebrews 4:14-16 Paul lists the qualifications of the Lord Jesus in being made our Great High Priest. He was 'touched with the feeling our infirmities' and was 'tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin'. So, Christ is the Sinless, Spotless Son of God, and in view of His exalted position, has become the Great High Priest of our Profession. In chapter five, Paul begins to show to us how far superior Christ is to the priesthood of Aaron under the Law of Moses. Scripture tells us that God, the Father, has exalted Jesus Christ over all of the OT persons and their ministries because Christ is the Infinite God/Man, and made to sit at the right hand of the Majesty on high, and who has been called of God to be our Great High Priest.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 4 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Nov. 16, 2019
We will be in Hebrews Chapter four of our study this session. In two verses of the previous chapter and nine more verses, eleven verses in all, Paul refers to the Rest of God'. Coupling to what Paul is saying in these chapters with something Jesus said about the rest of God in Matthew 11:28-29, we find that there is "The Place of Rest" in Christ, and then there is the "Act of Resting" in Christ. There are many who have received Christ as their Savior and have entered in the Place of Rest in Christ but who do not, as practice, enter into the Act of Resting in Christ. This is why there are so many in the church today who are not happy or fulfilled.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 3 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Nov. 9, 2019
In this session we will be looking into Hebrews Chapter 3, Which contains two parts. In the first part, Paul asserts the superiority of Christ over the ministry and person of Moses, the Giver of the Law. Paul states that Moses was a faithful servant in the House of God, but that Christ was the One Who built the House, therefore, he is to receive the greater glory and honor than Moses. In the second section of this chapter, Paul warns the people of God of the Danger of Unbelief. We find in the scriptures there are two kinds of unbelief which are; a failure to act due to ignorance of the will of God, and, secondly, knowing what the will of God is, but refusing to obey, in other words, an obstinate rebellion against the things of God. The first type of unbelief can be cured through teaching and exhortation, but the second places the rebellious person in danger of the judgment of God.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 2 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Nov. 2, 2019
In this session we will cover Hebrews Chapter 2. Paul is still speaking of the supremacy of Christ over the angels, but he introduces the subject of Christ being the Captain of our Salvation, something that angels were never covenanted to do. Angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who are the heirs of salvation. Christ, however, has been appointed heir of all things and this speaks to his supremacy over the angels.

In Depth Study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, Chapter 1 - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Oct. 26, 2019
We are beginning a new study in this session with the Epistle of Paul to the Hebrews. This is an exciting epistle of the Apostle Paul because it magnifies the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, over all Old Testament personages. Paul portrays Christ in all His glory and majesty, proclaiming Him to be the fulfillment of the entire OT sacrificial and worship system, eclipsing this system through the sacrifice of Himself, and God, the Father, justifying what the Lord did on the cross by raising Him from the dead. In our study today of chapter 1, Paul shows the superiority of Christ over the angelic host.

Concluding Our Study of First Corinthians - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Oct. 19, 2019

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Oct. 12, 2019
In this session we will be in 1 Corinthians Chapter 15. This chapter covers Paul's record and revelation of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and also of true believers in Christ. This is, in my opinion, the most important chapter in this entire epistle because the resurrection forms the foundation for our faith in Christ. Without the resurrection of Christ from the dead there would be no church today! But, because Christ did rise from the dead, you and I have a future with Christ and with God, the Father.

Tongues, Interpretation and Prophecy - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Oct. 5, 2019
Our study in this session is found in 1 Corinthians 14. In this chapter Paul lays out the regulation, not the prohibition, of the Vocal Gifts of Diversity of Tongues, the Interpretation of those tongues and the Gift of Prophecy. All three of these gifts should be in operation in all of our churches so the members can be blessed and edified. These gifts help form a supernatural aspect of the Church that needs to be recovered in our day and in the time we are living in.

The Love of God - Wonderful Words of Life Radio Broadcast for Sept. 28, 2019
We will be in 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 in this session, talking about Paul's treatise on the Love of God. Agape is the Greek word for the selfless, love of God that has been 'shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given to us'. Love is a gift just like faith, grace and righteousness are. Because we know God through the Lord Jesus, we have His love in our nature and we are to love others the way He loves us. It is also interesting that Paul has sandwiched his teaching on the love of God in between his teaching on the Gifts of the Spirit and chapters 12, 13 and 14 form a stream of divine revelation for the Church to flow with.
