How is overpopulation negatively impacting the world? Well i think that we are running out of space and resources. In the 1800s the world population was at 1 billion. In 1940 the population was at 2.3 billion. In 1970 the population was at 3.7 billion. And today the population is at 7.7 billion people. In 2050 the population will be at 9.8 billion people. Eventually we are going to run out of food and resources. Crime rates are going too increase with the population. More people means that we are going to run out of jobs and poverty will become a bigger problem. A story that relates to poverty is the story of Luisa. Her family of 11 live in poverty. Cause her dad lost his job and her mother is unable to find a job. I believe overpopulation has something to do with this. Also her family has 12 people in it, which must be hard to pay for all of their food. I'm not assuming anything, i'm just taking a educated guess.
