Episode 134 - A.J. Andrews
Outside The Chute was lucky enough to sit down and chat with LSU alum, current Florida Vibe Member and host on the Major League Baseball Network, the one and only, AJ Andrews. AJ has had a tremendous career to date and its still going strong. She is a 3 time All-SEC selection as well as a 2013 All-American with LSU and she is also the first ever female Rawlings Gold Glove recipient from MLB in 2016 while playing with the Akron Racers in the NPF. We’re gonna talk to AJ about getting her start in the game, her time at LSU, of course winning the Gold Glove award, and everything else she has going on in her absolute hectic life. AJ was such a pleasure to chat with. I’m so happy she was able to take time out of her busy schedule and come on and chat about her career. Episode 133 - Jordan Dail
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Oregon alum, current assistant coach with the North Carolina Tar Heels and current member of the Texas Smoke in the WPF, the one and only, Jordan Dail. Jordan has had a fantastic career to date. After playing her freshman season at Virginia Tech in 2018, she spent the last four seasons with the Ducks in Oregon. Jordan pitched over 368 innings in 85 appearances, racking up 32 wins, 28 complete games, three saves, 354 strikeouts and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament. As a sophomore, Jordan was a Second Team All-PAC-12 selection, throwing two no-hitters and becoming just the fourth Duck ever to throw multiple seven-inning no-hitters in one season. That season, she led the Pac-12 by more than 70.0 innings pitched and ranked second in the nation during the regular season with a total of 248 innings of work. She is now working as a volunteer assistant at her favourite childhood team growing up, UNC and is also getting set to start her pro career with the Texas Smoke in the WPF. We’re gonna talk to Jordan about getting her start in the game, the journey to Virginia Tech which led to her transfer to Oregon, her personal mental struggles she had with game, the transition to coaching and of course what it means to be a part of the Texas Smoke. Episode 132- Ryan Wolfe
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with 7 time ISC World Champion, 2015 Pan Am and WBSC World’s gold medalist and ISC Hall of Famer, Ryan Wolfe. Wolfey had an absolute amazing career. His list of accomplishments are just ridiculous. As just mentioned, besides the 7 ISC World titles and International golds, he’s also an 11 time ISC All World selection, 5 time Canadian Senior Men’s National Champion, 2 time ASA National Champion, do I really need to go on, the guy has done it all. Plain and simple, one of the best to ever play our game. We’re gonna talk to Wolfey about getting his start in the game, growing up playing in Ontario, joining the ISC circuit in what is arguably the greatest era ever, his induction last year into the ISC Hall of Fame and much, much more. Wolfey was such a beauty to chat with. I’m sure you’re all going to enjoy this chat just as much as Hopey and I did.

Episode 131 - Alyssa Rivera
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Auburn University alum, Assistant Coach at Hampton University and current member of the Texas Smoke of the WPF, Alyssa Rivera. Alyssa is one of those player’s that has an immense love for this game and that definitely shines through in our talk together. The native of Eagle Lake, Florida, Alyssa is a 2017 Gold Medalist for the USA Junior Women's National Team, while also winning a Bronze Medal for the Puerto Rico National Team, back in 2019. Alyssa spent 5 seasons at Auburn University, where during her time there, she became one of the most decorated hitters in program history. She is one of just six players in program history to record at least 200 career hits, 120 RBI’s and 110 runs scored. Alyssa currently is getting her experience in the coaching ranks as an assistant at Hampton University, while also signing on to play pro with the newly formed Texas Smoke of the WPF. We’re gonna talk to Alyssa about getting her start in the game, her journey at Auburn, being able to represent two countries on the international stage, signing with the Texas Smoke and much, much more. Alyssa was an absolute pleasure to chat with. Episode 130 - Ryan Moore
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Founder and Owner of UMR Sports, Florida Vibe Team President, and the Executive Director of the American Collegiate League, Ryan Moore. In the last couple years Ryan has been making his mark on the softball world. With his formation and success of the Florida Gulf Coast League, it has given way to the Heartland Collegiate League, the Music City Collegiate League and the Vegas Collegiate League that all run under the same umbrella, called the American Collegiate League or ACL. These leagues give college athletes the opportunity to continue playing when their college season is over and goes a long way in helping with their development and success. Ryan is also instrumental in the formation of the Florida Vibe Professional Team who are set to begin their 3rd season this summer. We’re gonna talk to Ryan about how he got involved in the softball side of things, his amazing UMR Sport facility in Bradenton, Florida, how the ACL got formed, what the future holds and much, much more. Ryan was an absolute blast to chat with. Definitely, one of the good guys in our game. I’m so excited to see what else is in store down the road, actually, he does drop a little breaking news in this, so keep your ears open for that one.

Episode 129 - Dallas Kipfer
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with the owner and founder of DK Softball and current member of the U23 Canadian Men’s National Team, Dallas Kipfer. Dallas is one of those up and coming talents here in Canada that is not only showing his talents on the field but also giving back in a big way by training other athlete’s in the game as well with his DK Softball. On the field, Dallas is a two time National Champion, winning Midget in 2017 and Junior in 2021. At those 2017 Midget Nats, he was top batter and All-Star 3rd base. Last season he was an All-Canadian competing at the Junior Nats in Carp, Ontario with Owen Sound, where he captured a silver medal. He’s now gearing up to represent Canada down in Argentina in April at the U23 WBSC Men’s World Cup. We’re gonna talk to Dallas about getting his start in the game, representing Canada at the Junior World’s in 2018 on home soil, starting DK Softball, expectations for Team Canada down in Argentina and much, much more. Episode 128 - Chelsea Gonzales
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Arizona State Sun Devil alum, 2020 Olympian and current member of the Smash It Sports Vipers of the WPF, Chelsea Gonzales. Chels has had a fantastic career to date. She was a 2014 Pac-12 All-Freshman All-Conference team selection, and a 2017 All-Pac-12 First Team selection while at Arizona State. She would then go on to play in the NPF for the Cleveland Comets, which set the stage for her competing in the 2020 Olympics with Team Mexico. Chels is now competing in the WPF with the Smash It Sports Vipers and will be looking to help them as they enter their second season. We’re gonna talk to Chels about getting her start in the game, becoming a brand new mommy after the birth of her beautiful daughter Leilani in December, her time at Arizona State, those 2020 Olympics and of course, playing for the Vipers in the WPF. Chelsea was an absolute pleasure to chat with. I’m so excited to watch her and the Vipers compete this summer, I’m sure big things are in store for her, the team and the league.

Episode 127 - Cory Jones
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with WBSC Men’s World Cup silver medalist and current member of the Canadian Men’s National Team, Cory Jones. Jonsey has had quite a career to date. He was a member of the 2008 Canadian Junior Team that won a silver medal in Whitehorse, was an All-Canadian in 2019 with the Grande Prairie Pirates and as mentioned, a big part of the Canadian Men’s National Team that brought home a silver from the WBSC Men’s World Cup a few month ago down in New Zealand. We’re gonna talk to Jonesy about getting his start in the game, the influence his Dad played in his development, his lifetime contract he signed with Grande Prairie that he doesn’t really recall, of course, the World Cup and much, much more. Jonesy was an absolute pleasure to chat with. Hopey and I are excited to see what kind of big moments lie ahead for him. Episode 126 - Danielle Gibson
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Arkansas alum, current volunteer coach with the Georgia Bulldogs and Athletes Unlimited star, Danielle Gibson. Gibby has had a fantastic career to date and she’s still going strong. She is a two time NFCA All-American, 2018 NFCA Freshman of the Year Finalist, two time All-SEC Defensive Team selection and 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Finalist. She also holds the distinction of hitting for the homerun cycle back in 2019. Not only that she did it in 4 innings. That’s just insane. Of course, we’re gonna get into detail on that. Episode 125 - Seneca Curo
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with utility, redshirt junior with the UCLA Bruins, and Barona, California native, Seneca Curo. Seneca is currently going into her 4th season with the Bruins and is the ultimate utility player. Last season alone she played five different positions, 1st, 2nd, short and 3rd, and then some in the outfield. We’re gonna talk to Seneca about growing up on the Barona Indian Reservation in southern California with her parents and four brothers. How she made the transition from baseball to softball, her whole recruiting process to UCLA and, of course, her mom’s amazing enchiladas. Sen was an absolute treat to chat with. I’m so excited to see what is in store for her this season and life after UCLA. I’m sure big things definitely are.

Episode 124 - Brad Kilpatrick
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with WBSC Men’s World Cup bronze medalist and US Men’s National Team member, Brad Kilpatrick. Brad has had fantastic career so far and he’s just getting started. Besides the previously mentioned bronze medal at the 2022 WBSC Men’s World Cup, he’s also a gold medalist with Australian Men’s Junior National Team that won the 2018 WBSC Junior Men’s World here in Prince Albert, Sask. We’re gonna talk to Brad about getting his start in the game in his hometown of Sydney, Australia, that junior world title win, what its like being a part of the University of Florida Gators softball program and, of course, that epic bronze medal win against the defending champion, Argentina, at the World Cup almost 2 months ago. Episode 123 - Kelly Barnhill
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and University of Florida Gator alum, Kelly Barnhill. Kelly’s career to date has been nothing short of amazing. As mentioned with that Player of the Year award, she is a 3 time NFCA All-American, ESPNW Player of the Year winner, she won an Espy Award in 2017, along with a Honda Sport Award and SEC Pitcher of the Year. That’s just a sample size of the many awards Kelly has won. We’re gonna talk about her love for travelling and she has been to so many places. Episode 122 - Quinten Bruce
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Canadian Men’s National Team member and recent silver medalist at the WBSC Men’s World Cup down in Auckland NZ, Quinten Bruce. Q has had quite a career to date and its just getting started. This past summer alone he was named to the ISC All World Team, was an All Canadian at the Senior Men’s Nationals in Newfoundland, an All World Selection at the WBSC Men’s World Cup, as well as, the top hitter in the tournament. That’s just crazy! We’re gonna talk to Q about getting his start in the game, the 2017 Canada Games where he and Team Ontario captured gold, winning an ISC World Title with his favorite boyhood team, the Hill United Chiefs, of course this amazing past 2022 he just had and much, much more. Episode 121 - Hope Trautwein
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of North Texas and University of Oklahoma alum and current member of the USSSA Pride of the WPF, Hope Trautwein. Hope has had a remarkable career to date. She is a 2022 National Champion with the Sooners where she would also be named to the WCWS All-Tournament Team, she was a 2022 All Big 12 First Team selection, was named the 2021 Conference USA Pitcher of the Year and is also the only player in NCAA Division I history to ever throw and immaculate perfect game with 21 strikeouts. We’re gonna talk to Hope about getting her start in the game, her unorthodox recruiting process to North Texas, that crazy 21 strikeout, perfect game performance in April of 2021, of course, last years National Title with the Sooner, joining the USSSA Pride in the newly formed WPF and much, much more. Chewy has had an immediate impact on the game since he started playing. He’s another of the baseball turned fastpitch players that has excelled big time in doing so. He is a two time ISC All World selection, the 2022 ISC Batting Champion, along with a two time ISC World Champion with the NY Gremlins. Erick was also named the 2017 USA Softball Male Athlete of the Year. Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Louisiana and Oregon alum, Athletes Unlimited mainstay and current Assistant Coach at University of Memphis, DJ Sanders. DJ has had a very accomplished career to date. She was a 2017 NFCA 1st Team All-American, 2017 Sunbelt Conference, and also led the entire NCAA in Homeruns and RBI’s that season as well. She has been playing pro now for the last 5 years. Two years with the Bandits and Chicago and the last three with Athletes Unlimited. DJ has also moved into the coaching side of things, making stops with Missouri, Mississippi State and now, as I previously mentioned, with the University of Memphis. We’re gonna talk to DJ about getting her start in the game, how she landed with the Ragin Cajuns in Louisiana, the transfer to Oregon, her time in the pro game and a fair bit of talk about hot sauce for some reason. Episode 116 - Andrea Filler
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Northwestern University Alum, Athletes Unlimited star and 2020 Olympian with Team Italy, Andrea Filler. Andrea has had a fantastic career to date. She earned NFCA All-Region Team distinction three times, while also being a two-time First-Team All-Big Ten Conference selection while at Northwestern. She would capture an NPF Championship with the Chicago Bandits in 2016 and then move on to play professionally in Italy where she won the 2021 Italian Pro League batting title after leading the league with a .517 batting average and eight home runs. Andrea would also represent Italy at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and currently plays with Athletes Unlimited. We’re gonna talk to Andrea about getting her start in the game, her time at Boston College, the transfer to Northwestern, of course, the Olympic Games, Athletes Unlimited and much, much more.
