OC11 - Survivor - S30E14 - "It's a Fickle, Fickle Game"
After enjoying a feast for making it to the end of the game, the final three faced the jury for their final Tribal Council. Joe told the finalists to own their games to earn his vote, while Hali asked Carolyn how her role as a mother disadvantaged her in the game; Carolyn explained that she fought hard despite being much older than most of the other castaways. Rodney asked Will how he was true to himself, and Will explained that he used his social game and giving nature to compensate for his lack of Survivor knowledge; he then asked Carolyn to explain the moves she made on her own, and she said it was blindsiding Tyler and Dan. Tyler asked Mike what he brought to the game socially, and Mike admitted that his social game wasn't as strong as he would've liked to be; Tyler asked Carolyn to redeem herself for backstabbing him after 30 days of being closest allies, and Carolyn stated that she had to or else he would've won, but that it was the most difficult decision she made. Sierra asked Will which of the other finalists' traits he wanted; he said Mike's work ethic and Carolyn's analytical skills. Jenn called the jury out for being bitter against Mike's manic, back-against-the-wall gameplay, and pled for them to vote for him to win. Dan chastised Mike for not caring about the jury, and Mike told Dan that he regretted losing his trust after his actions at the Survivor Auction, and apologized to him; Dan accepted the apology. Shirin castigated Will for comments he made about Shirin's family, and praised Mike for defending her, though stated that, as a superfan of the game, she was going to vote based on their games; Shirin likened each of their games to an animal—Mike to an howler monkey, Carolyn to a stingray, and Will to a dead fish. She also dropped the bomb that she made her first million before she was 25 years old and how the moment that Mike stuck up for her meant more to her than making all that money. Her speech might possibly go down in Survivor history as one of the best ever made at the final tribal council.

OC09 - Survivor - S30E11 - "Survivor Russian Roulette"
Before Reward: Dan and Sierra discussed Mike's claims that they were at the bottom of the majority alliance. Dan later attempted to comfort Shirin about Will's comments at the previous Tribal Council. Reward Challenge: Divided into two groups of four, the teams were given four barrels, two wood planks, and rope to cross the beach without any part of their bodies or the planks touching the ground, or else they had to restart. The first team across won a trip on a catamaran, complete with a feast of hamburgers and pie. The team of Mike, Sierra, Shirin and Rodney started out strong but after Mike accidentally placed a plank on the ground, they decided to each roll on a barrel to make up time, but they were unable to do so and Carolyn, Dan, Tyler, and Will won the challenge. While on the the catamaran Carolyn, Tyler, and Will did their best to convince Dan they are loyal to him and it worked. Dan was spending most of the time bashing Mike and his game play. Back at camp Sierra tried to convince Rodney that they should target Tyler. Rodney had to giver her a line about getting Tyler out sixth because he wants Mike and Shirin to go home 8th and 7th. Sierra was trying to make the point that no one would vote for Shirin to win so they should keep her around. Immunity Challenge: Each tribe member held onto a rope handle attached to 25% of their body weight as of the beginning of the game. If the rope unspooled and the weight dropped, a bucket of water dropped on the castaway's head and they were eliminated; the last man and woman remaining won immunity. This is a Survivor staple and has been played in many of the previous seasons. They had to mix it up a little bit by giving immunity to a man and a woman. Carolyn and Mike were the winner of this challenge even though Rodney fought hard against Mike. Tribal Council: Before tribal council Shirin lobbied Dan and Sierra to vote with her and Mike to vote out Tyler. Tyler wanting to know what advantage Dan won last week searched Dan’s bag and found out about the extra vote advantage. Mike in confessional toyed with the idea of using his hidden immunity idol on Shirin to see who would get voted out if both him and Shirin had immunity. During Tribal Shirin told the tribe that they would be stupid to get rid of her and lobbied for them the vote out Tyler. Mike unveiled his hidden immunity idol and said he may just use it on Shirin, but in the end he did not and Shirin was sent to the jury. Listen l

OC08 - Survivor - S30E10 - "Bring the Popcorn"
After Tribal: Rodney told his alliance that it was time to target Mike. What they didn’t know is that Mike overheard them talking. Survivor Auction: Will bought a covered item, which turned out to be a buyout from the auction, and was sent back to camp immediately. Fortunately he had a message waiting that sent him on a treasure hunt to find snacks that he ended up sharing with the tribe. Shirin bought chicken and waffles, Jenn bought a large bowl of rum punch, Sierra bought beef souvlaki, and Rodney bought a steak. Sierra bought a letter from home for $20 and everyone else was given the chance to buy their letters for the same price. Carolyn, Dan, Tyler, and Mike were holding out for a possible advantage in the game, but decided they would all buy their letters from home together. Mike tried to be sneaky and not buy his letter but was called and bought it anyway. Carolyn, Dan, and Mike spent $480 on the potential advantage, and drew rocks, with the white colored rock determining who would get the advantage. It was Dan that ended up with the advantage in the end. Immunity Challenge: Before the immunity challenge Mike tried to stir up drama about Will convincing Shirin and Jenn that Will had more snacks that he was keeping for himself. This prompted an argument between Will and Shirin during which Will said some very hateful things about Shirin and her family. Each tribe member had to use metal tongs to transport a ball across a series of teeter-totters to a stand. The first tribe member to get all six of their balls to their stand won immunity. Before the challenge began, Will asked Jeff if he could get his letter from home in exchange for sitting out of the challenge. Jeff agreed provided every other tribe member agreed to let him have his letter. Shirin was the only one that did not agree. The challenge itself was not very exciting and was over very quickly with Mike winning. Tribal Council: Mike lobbied Shirin and Jenn to vote with him to try and oust Carolyn. Mike then went and tried to win Dan’s vote. Dan found himself the swing vote which was a position he hated being in because he knew it would leave him on the bottom either alliance he chose. At Tribal Council, Shirin and Will reignited their argument, and Shirin tearfully recounted her past as a victim of domestic abuse. Will seemed unphased and continued to say hurtful things about Shirin. Carolyn held on to her idol as the votes were split between Shirin and Jenn, with Mike

OC06 - Survivor - S30E07 - "Jenn is Sneaky"
Escameca Tribe: After tribal council Rodney and Mike spoke. Mike gave Rodney his reasons for why they voted out Joaquin and Rodney explained that he felt extremely disrespected by not being kept in the loop. Nagarote Tribe: Not much to discuss here as the Nagarote tribe woke up to a note that led them to believe they were headed to a two tribe merge and they were right. They met up with the members of Escameca on the beach and were treated to a feast by the Survivor production crew. After the feast was over they returned to the Escameca camp to find all the materials won at previous reward challenges were gone. They had to start from scratch by building a new shelter. Merica: Mike proposed a new name for the tribe after Shirin started the conversation about the tribe needing a new name. Mike’s suggestion was Merica because the three original tribes colors were red, white, and blue and the new tribe is a melting pot. Shirin was pretty vocal about her distaste for this name. Before the immunity challenge there was a lot of game play to see where allegiances lie. Hali and Jenn solidified their commitment to Shirin and Joe, with hopes of pulling in Carolyn and Tyler. Rodney pulled in Will, Carolyn, and Tyler in order to get back at Mike and Dan for voting out Joaquin. Rodney also promised that they would be a final four. Can you believe this all happened before tribal council? Immunity Challenge: This was an endurance challenge. Each tribe member had to hang onto pole until they were the last one left. Mike’s plans to vote out Joe were thwarted by Joe’s win at this challenge. So he had to set his sights on another No-Collar tribe member in order to keep the Blue-Collars numbers up. Back at camp Mike worked hard to get Tyler’s vote while Kelly worked on Carolyn. Carolyn decided she wanted to work with Kelly and they made Jenn the target. Mike pulled Rodney back in by telling him they should try and get rid of Jenn instead of Joe. Rodney agreed to Mike’s plan but told Will it would be Hali in order to see how he would vote. If Will voted for Hali then Rodney and the Blue-Collars would know they he was loyal to them. Meanwhile Hali approached the White-Collars to see if they would work with the No-Collars to take out the Blue-Collars but nothing solid was decided upon. It was clear that Carolyn and Tyler were the swing votes and everyone wanted them to vote with them. Jenn and Hali spoke about what might happen at tri

OC05 - Survivor - S30E05 - "Blindsided Bromance"
Jamie bought a new mixer this week. So he apologizes for making Spencer sound like he was talking in a bathroom. Hopefully he figures things out before next week. Nagarote Tribe After tribal council Shirin tried to find out why Max was voted out and Carolyn said it was because they were disloyal and blaming it on the constant scheming that Shirin and Max had been doing. Hail was a bit more honest and admitted that everyone thought they were annoying. Shirin in confessional vowed to make changes and become apart of her tribe. Escameca Tribe Rodney and Joaquin decided to work together because they have the most in common on their tribe. Since Joaquin and Tyler are old white-collar members they tried to convince Sierra to work with them, but she had her misgivings because of Joaquin aligning with Rodney. Reward Challenge The tribes had to climb through a series of obstacles to make it to the top of a tower. Once at the top they had to one at a time launch sandbags down on the field below to hit six targets. Nagarote started strong with hitting the targets after almost being blown out of the water in the race. Escameca caught up to Nagarote and it appeared they would win but Rodney slowed them down in the target-hitting department allowing Nagarote to catch back up and win. Nagarote won a dinner on the beach picnic style and an evening watching sea turtles on the beach at a sea turtle sanctuary. During this reward Shirin was able to reconnect with her tribe. Immunity Challenge Before the immunity challenge Rodney schemed with Mike to vote out Joe by throwing the next challenge. Rodney’s allegiances seemed a bit muddy because he told Mike that he had Joaquin wrapped around his finger. I thought he had found the bromance we was looking for with Joaquin. Anyway Mike agreed to go along with Rodney plan only because he wants to help keep Kelly by not having to go to tribal council. The immunity challenge was most likely tailored to be one that either tribe could win after last week’s crushing defeat of Nagarote because of their sheer lack of physical strength when compared to Escameca. The tribes had to memorize a series of six items and then line the same items up from memory. Nagarote started strong but Escameca caught up and it appeared that Rodney’s plan was in danger until Mike went up against Kelly in the last round. He whispered to her that he was throwing the challenge and throw it he did. Nagarote won and Escameca went to tri
