5498 – Introduction to Home Inventory
Introduction to Home Inventory It can happen to you. Do a family exercise: Go to a location outside of your house and try to list every item in each room. You can't do it (no one can). Just think how much tougher this would be with the pressure of just having a disaster take place.

001 – Getting Organized Slowly – Future Episodes
Welcome to the first episode of Organized Mindset This episode discusses not getting overwhelmed by trying to get every part of your life organized perfectly. If you do, you'll never start. The key is to Start Slow. Just doing a little every day or even one thing every week will help. I also do an overview of some of the many topics I’ll be covering in my podcasts. My Background I started working in IT (Information Technology) in 1984: Digital Equipment Corporation = 10 1/2 years (Field Service and Network Technician) Compuware Corporation: 14 years (Quality Assurance Specialist, Project Manager, Team Leader, Technical Writer, Systems Analyst) My own web design business. Currently at a Financial Institute (Support Administrator and Technical Writer) As a Baby Boomer my priorities have changed. Time spent with family and friends is more important to me now than collecting material things. OrganizedMindset.com is here to help you Save Time by Getting Organized. As much as I love technology, many parts of our lives can get organized using "old school" methods. As Baby Boomers we grew up without any high tech tools. I still use a Paper Monthly Planner. I love Checklists. Many of us Boomers grew up in houses with only one bathroom and no basement or garage. Then as adults, many of us moved into larger houses. If you're like me, it meant getting more stuff to fill up the house and garage. “80% of what we keep, we never use.” National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) I briefly talked about some future topics: Hardware, Software, Password Management, Backup Strategies, Smartphones, Domain Name and Web Hosting, Disaster Planning, Home Inventory, ID Theft, Storage Units, Travel, Safe Deposit Box, Bill Paying and Online Purchases. I’ll be sharing more on what works for me, but the important thing is to do what works for you. In the Comments section please tell me your biggest challenges to getting organized.
