Today we have a fantastic conversation with Julius Otieno Okumu, who is a court translator and has recently decided to pursue law school. He shares with us how he came to this decision, and addresses the injustices he’s witnessed and desires to be a part of implementing change within. Today we chat with Ed Rowell, a pastor of nearly 30 years. Ed shares some great wisdom and encouragement for Christians as we navigate what it looks like to love people and stand for justice the way Christ did. He also shares some of his thoughts on Christian Nationalism and the dangers Christians can easily fall into. Jonathan Reavis shares his perspectives in episode 3 of 3 on Race and the Workplace. Jonathan is an ordained deacon in the Eastern Orthodox Church, and a social worker by trade. He shares much wisdom on how these two roles integrate and how Christians should view the sufferings of people in the sufferings of Christ, and how that impacts the fight for racial justice.
