[INTERVIEW: JAMIE MO'CRAZY] CLIMBING AN ALTERNATIVE PEAK AFTER A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY
Jamie "MoCrazy" Crane-Mauzy has a story that is astounding and unforgettable.  She is a professional freestyle skier based out of Utah and in this episode, Jamie shares all about her journey of climbing alternative peaks to get back to full health and living an awe-inspiring purposeful life. In April or 2015, Jamie endured an uncomfortably close near-death accident and she suffered a traumatic brain injury.  Doctors did not believe she'd recover, and the odds of her making it through were very slim.   Through the support and will of her mother and family, Jamie has today made an absolutely full recovery, and is living a life that she is truly passionate about.  Jamie is dedicating herself to helping others with brain injuries via her public speaking, her company called MoCrazy Strong, and by continuing to partner with organizations that are helping others with recovery. In April of 2021, on the anniversary of the accident, Jamie's now fiance, proposed to her, giving new meaning to the fateful date.  The couple will wed in May 2022 with the mountain in the background of where she endured the accident.   What's even more inspiring, is Jamie's outlook on life today.  She believes that the accident is what provided her with a beautiful platform to be able to help share inspiring messages and help thousands of people.   Jamie's story and lessons on life are truly remarkable.  Get prepared to have your mind blown, and your heart and soul set on fire to go out and do more with your one, precious life! Find more about Jamie, her retreats and her services here:  Website: www.mocrazystrong.comInstagram:  https://www.instagram.com/jamiemocrazy/Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/MoCrazySome words of wisdom from Jamie:  "it's ok to have a bad day, just don't stay stuck there.  Climb an alternative peak and embrace it, but it's also ok to have those days." "Enjoy these moments RIGHT NOW. Really recognizing the positives in your current life and what you like about your current life is SO important." "Way too many of us are doing the things we think we "should" be doing." "The more and more I loved myself MORE, the more that the relationship with my fiance developed, but it always starts with that self love process".

[INTERVIEW with KACIA FITZGERALD]: on Leadership, Mindset, and Showing UP with Authenticity
Welcome back to the On the Way UP podcast, and today’s episode is really a dream come trust.  Fun fact- the morning before I was going to interview her, I was having this overwhelming feeling of total gratitude—the type that makes you want to cry just from the sheer feeling of feeling so FULL in the best way. See the thing is, it’s truly just inspiring to me that I get this crazy chance to use this podcast platform to allow others to share their POWERFUL stories and meaning for this lives. My guest today is the one and only KACIA FITZGERALD and I could not be more ecstatic to have her here! Kacia is a business owner of the company, SheGoes, she is a PODCASTER of the very popular EmpowerHer podcast, and she is a multi-passionate business woman who has endless energy and LOVE for the world!  Do yourself a favor and sit back (maybe even take some notes!) And SOAK IN all of this conversation with KACIA FITZGERALD! Some of my favorite moments of today's episode are: Take immediate action and DIS-ATTACH from the outcome. The win is the action, not the outcome. Pick the problems you want! Life will never “calm down” enough for you to do “the thing”! YOU are a testimony of what is POSSIBLE for other people. As a leader - make the expectation that everyone has a self-care practice (and figure out how we can go around what that is for each person). You are showing people how to treat you- so if you’re answering emails at 1am, then you’re sending that signal to your team that that’s the expectation. [INTERVIEW] The Superpower of Emotional Intelligence in Both Leadership and Life -- with Rich Bracken
WELCOME to a RIDICULOUSLY energizing and inspiring episode of On the Way UP! Let me just start by saying, this has been one my very favorite podcast conversations.  Rich is such an incredible person and his positive aura is on another level.  Rich is one to watch, as I guarantee he will be a household name. He has big goals and dreams, and I am BEYOND fortunate he was willing to contribute to this show and share his time and content with all of you as well! Rich will actually be the KEYNOTE speaker at a very exciting LIVE event in Vegas this June for Meeting Professionals International, and he has some really fun “tricks up his sleeve” for this presentation! Rich not only hosts his own podcast, the EnRICH Your Soul Podcast, but he has been featured on MANY other media outlets, including Fox 4 News Kansas City.  During our conversation we get into discussing some deeper topics.  As we all know, in our everyday lives we are faced with challenges of all kinds. Especially during the last year, we have been triggered and challenged in more ways than we probably even realize. This is where emotional intelligence comes in. You are probably familiar with the idea of people having an “IQ”, but what about an “EQ”?  Emotional intelligence plays a huge role in our everyday lives and helps us make decisions, interact well with others, and overall helps contribute to our wellbeing and success. In this episode we discuss: -How emotional intelligence plays into leadership and business -How humility, gratitude and mindset have everything to do with success -The importance of daily habits and your personal “anchors” that help you stay grounded, resilient and energized. -That it’s OK to be imperfect—we all are human and we all struggle! It’s how we choose to manage the struggle that counts. Find out more and check out Rich using the links below! Show up AS IF...
"Dress for the job you WANT..." Maybe we actually need to STOP waiting for the big title or fancy office suite.  What IF we START now by showing up and beginning to ACT, think and communicate like the person we aspire to be like!   When we start to show up AS IF, we start to embody it.  Our subconscious starts to get the new message that THIS IS WHO WE ARE, and then others recognize this as well.  What if the key to your next level life, is to start showing up AS THOUGH you are already living it? Today we have a quick chat about this idea of showing up AS IF… as if you WERE living the life you desire.  Acting AS IF you were that top leader already. The interesting thing about ACTION is that it actually helps us ATTRACT that which we want. The saying, “dress for the job you WANT, not the job you HAVE” is exactly what we are basing this conversation around.  Dress for the job you WANT (and the job that you will have someday!).  I have witnessed this with others that I admire and look up to.  They show up AS IF they were already that next level version of THEM… and then their life continues to unfold in MAGICAL ways! Imagine how leadership could be so different if we showed up and acted AS IF we were already in the leadership role we aspired to be in.  Imagine how you would dress, the habits you would have each day, the way you would talk to others, the way you would talk about YOURSELF! Our next level life is waiting...  Have we connected yet?  If not, we need to! Jump on over to: www.valerielynnconsulting.com and let's get in touch! A few of my take-away’s from our conversation: Creating an open environment allows people to be more creative, thus attaching more meaning to the work that we do. The best speakers and leaders are those that are in line with those things that they are most personally passionate about. Now more than ever, we need to hear the stories about our lives. We all have a story inside of us and someone out there needs to hear it. [INTERVIEW] Guest: Craig Catlett Leading with Grace & Motivating Others
THIS EPISODE means the world to me. I could not be more proud to have been raised by the most incredible parents, and today we get to hear a conversation I have with my father. My father is Craig Catlett, and has over 40 years of experience as a former Manufacturing Supervisor, as well as leadership experience in his current role as a CEO of Tuxedo Junction Big Band in Spokane, WA. Along with these impressive roles, he is a current private music teacher and has helped lead and contribute to other music groups. My dad is someone who has been through experiences that help him share lessons with others in a way that resonates with them. He is a born leader, encourager, and is constantly striving for grace. I could not be more proud to get to call him my father! And now you all get the gift of being able to listen to his wisdom and stories. A few of my favorite moments that struck a chord with me were: You won’t always be the best at everything, but you can lead others to be the best. It’s not about you, but how you can motivate somebody else. Wherever you are, you are an influence! Negative or positive, you are being that influence in each moment. BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Angie not only is a Program Manager and Personal Trainer for Woodinville Kickboxing, BUT she is also a Crohn’s Disease and Chronic Illness WARRIOR.We get to hear from Angie about her experience being diagnosed with Crohn’s and the depths of what she had to overcome in order to get where she is today.Angie is a firm believer that ANYONE can use healthy habits and a positive mindset to get them on to the next step towards where they want to go.If you have dealt with any level of a chronic illness, disease, or have experienced a rough time in your life (or maybe are experiencing this currently), then please give this episode (and this woman) a listen.Angie delivers us awesome wisdom about so much, but here are some highlights: You do not need permission to be strong! Angie is a firm believer that ANYONE can use healthy habits and a positive mindset to get them on to the next step towards where they want to go. If you have dealt with any level of a chronic illness, disease, or have experienced a rough time in your life (or maybe are experiencing this currently), then please give this episode (and this woman) a listen. Angie delivers us awesome wisdom about so much, but here are some highlights: You can be the hero of your own story When dealing with hard times, think to yourself “what could I be doing in this moment right now?” When you show up as a leader, show up with 110% of yourself for OTHERS “I would be robbing others of their best experience, if I can’t handle my own self” You can go through hell in your life, just don’t choose to LIVE there This is PART ONE of our first TWO-part series we are going to do with Angie! We had so much to share on this topic, that we will be rolling out a part 2 to this episode at a later date. I KNOW you will just FEEL our energy throughout this conversation as we discuss illness, depression and overcoming going through dark seasons in life.
