If we really dig down and get honest with ourselves, I think we can experience a deeper sense of purpose and relationship with God and others. Based in Ezekiel 16: 1-6, we see the Nation of Israel described by God through Ezekiel as an abandoned newborn baby, left to die, how God cleaned them up, helped them grow, covered them, and blessed them, and how the Nation of Israel worshipped and honored God, and yet again turned to their own ways, strengths, and worshipped the creatED not the CreatOR. There are so many hurtful things that have happened to us. I for one, do not wish to keep repeating old cycles and carrying into the new blessing my old hurts and failures.
