076 - The Colour and the Shape, or: Can I speak in defense of the McRib?
Well, we really get into it on this one. We manage to talk quite a bit about the Foo Fighters' excellent 1997 album "The Colour and the Shape" but the real star of the show is the McRib, which has recently made its triumphant return across these united states. Jim consumed one (as well as many other items) and feels sick, Patrick is behind the bench ready to defend the good name of the sandwich, and return guest Jarrod Staples has his own recent McRib tales. Christopher just has many questions because as of this recording he had never had a McRib. As of this writing, he has very recently. And he's getting sleepy. This album is very good.

075 - Deadwing, or: You're Sure This Is Free, Right?
Grab your pork and grab your pie! It's another Porcupine Tree episode featuring your favorite porcupals featuring 2005's Deadwing! Once again gracing us with his presence, veteran guest, Nate Heroux. Join us as we finally convince Nate to join us on the FBI watch list and indoctrinate him with a free coupon book for stale Wendy's fries. We also get into the great musical math debate of 2020.

074 - Daydream Nation, or: I get a lot of meat used
Holy moley we are thirstin' for Thurston, krazy for Kim, and longing for Lee on this installment of OMYAC. Abe Taber of Nickelbackin' joins the Old Boys as we review Sonic Youth's 1988 magnum opus "Daydream Nation". Other lively discussions broach the work of world-renowned saxophonist Dave Sanborn, subjective experiences with 5G, and Mike Watt's comical pronunciation of the word "window".
64 minutes | Oct 30, 2020
073 - Bloodflowers, or: Grandma's Vinegar and Hair Cake
Fall is here again and once again Christopher is reaching into his inner sadboi by selecting another album by the Cure. This time, 2000's Bloodflowers is on the docket, and Christopher goes into why he may be biased towards this album. We also discuss defunct New England store chains Paperama and Ann & Hope, the net worth of Herb Alpert, and the times that Jim is sitting on the poo-poo can. Austin Scholl (ThornBrain, Sophomore Slumps) joins in.

Birthday Bonus #7 - Effloresce, or: Whatever Is Happening Here Is Probably A Safe and Good Idea

072 - Lateralus, or: We Really Covered The Whole Thanksgiving Turkey
Another most joyous episode with your favorite OMYAC boys! This week we're doing 2001's Lateralus by Tool with return guest Jimi Corbett. Tune in to learn Jimi's exclusive email address just this one time only. Put your spiral caps on everyone and grab a crispy boy (and some crispy skin!) because this one's a long haul!
66 minutes | Oct 1, 2020
071 - Security, or: THIS IS THE INFORMATION EPISODE
The three cabelleros are back in the studio to discuss Peter Gabriel's fourth self-titled record (AKA Security) as we descend into Fall 2020. Sick of hearing about music? Fear not, we branch off into several illuminating discussions on flat-earthers, airline humor (classic!), and how many miles of baby back ribs Chili's blows through in a year. Seriously, this episode is JAM PACKED with useful information.
74 minutes | Sep 14, 2020
070 - October Rust, or: The Night that Jim did a Bad Thing
We're ringing in Fall over here at the OMYAC Factory the best way we know how: by listening to Type O Negative's 1996 goth dirge opus "October Rust"! We're joined by Todd Bowes (Downcity Armory) as we parse this album by Brooklyn Vampyrs, in addition to looking for condos in Boston (spoiler: throw a rock blindly and you'll hit one), the dirt lot where they filmed Judgement Night, Gary Young's "Plant Man", and Patrick in general just acts like a big baby. The usual sort of thing around these parts.

069 - Street Survivors, or: How Many Crispy Bois Did You Do It For?
Grab yourself a cold crispy boy and fire up the grill! That's right, we're doing Lynyrd Skynrd! Joining us is first time guest, Ryan Minichiello!
66 minutes | Aug 15, 2020
068 - Drums & Wires, or: My dad said that he was gonna take me to Toontown for summer vacation this year
The lads convene once-a more to discuss the lads from Swindon XTC, specifically their 1979 landmark record "Drums & Wires". We're joined once again by Matt Ohanian (bass player for DAEVES, Bears For Years, and all-around goodboy) to discuss Colin Moulding's absolutely stellar bass playing, how many Nigels there actually are in the world (the final number may shock you), and the life expectancy in Bulgaria. It has to do with their jelly-like milk or something?
80 minutes | Jul 31, 2020
067 - Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, or: The Code of the Cockers
Come one come all as we dive into Sigur Rós's 2008 ray of sunshine that is "Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust" (With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly)! We're joined by Scott Kurland (Hell is a Musical, Writer's Bagel Basket, and Where in the World is Steven Quincy Urkel?) as three fourths of the gang struggle with pronunciation as one struggles slightly less. We also manage to discuss Tommy Wiseau's gamey piece of meat, how we may actually be living in an M. Knight Shyamalanesque film as ghost podcasters, and how everything has turned into an Ames catalog. Also, Patrick makes an Air joke that is featured on an episode of the Gilmore Girls.Remember when this used to be a music podcast?
65 minutes | Jul 14, 2020
066 - The Uncanny Valley, or: I Told You To Get Out of My Crawl Space!
Perverted powerful podcasters preferably plug Perturbator while perturbating playfully. Yea... that's a good description.
83 minutes | Jul 1, 2020
065 - A Wizard, A True Star, or: Dad Strong, We'll Take You On
Patrick picks a Rundie classic for this installment; Todd Rundgren's "A Wizard, A True Star" released in 1973 (one day after Dark Side of the Moon, oddly enough). The record is often cited as a huge influence on the "bedroom pop" phenomenon of the 2010s and is heavily revered by artists like Trent Reznor, Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), and Ariel Pink. So anyway, Christopher and Jim hated this record and so did our wonderful repeat guest Tyler Kent (of GEPH and the "Thriller" episode) so things get spicy. Also in our robust spice rack of discussion is rogue state Radio Shacks, starch moguls, Rundgren's unfortunate influence on incel culture, powerdads, and jfc we really need to cool it on our greasy spoon chatter.
70 minutes | Jun 14, 2020
064 - Ask the Deep, or: The Town’s full of Bring Backs
As we approach the Summer Solstice, the boys are delving into an album that revels in the warmth as well as occasional iciness, Sóley's 2015 album "Ask the Deep". A personal favorite of Christopher's, they discuss the album as well as alien abductions in New Hampshire, Crime Animals, Bring Backs, a love of Jimmy Stewart, and all of the ways you can die in a recording studio. John Greene (Fifth Business, Nickelbackin') joins in.
67 minutes | Jun 7, 2020
Birthday Bonus #6 - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, or: The Legend of the McBuck
It's the month of Christopher's birth so that means he gets a bonus pick for a bonus episode! He selected Oasis's massive 1995 album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" and the gang brought back Oasis superfan Jon Sasor to discuss. Also up for discussion are subway martial arts, the coolest dancing man on the MBTA, when the milk is too hot, and a perpetrator known by many names who we will just call Curly Sam. Please do not commit any Lawful No-Nos.

063 - Alice In Chains; or: That's Why I Make You Wither Away So Quickly...
Just the three amigos today on this, the day of our lord, June first. Can you guess what weird nonsense we talk about today? I bet you can... I bet you know it's fast food-related. Ugh. We're getting too predictable, so we had to throw some dark shit in too. Nothing ever good comes of the three of us rambling in the same (virtual) room together. This is why we invite guests to check our reality. Anyways, we've got AIC's Tripod for you this week!
69 minutes | May 15, 2020
062 - Kimono My House; or: Come My Children, Taste of My Eggs
Zoo time, is she and you time? It happened! That's right, Patrick picked glam-rock darlings Sparks's 1974 release "Kimono My House" for this installment, joined as always by Christopher (the human ottoman), Jim (Beans? Mankey? Dinky-Diamond? idk), and very special guest Lilz Martin (of Jukebox Zeroes, Sawtooth, and Fatigue fame of course). Other topics of discussion include Ol' Man Wingsover's morning constitutional, Maury Povich analytics, bunk beds, and what the next big cash crop will be: pork belly vs. chicken necks. That's it. Belly or necks.
76 minutes | Apr 30, 2020
061 - Blur; or: You need to send me 50,000 BitGallons of milk
Come one, come all! We're looking for investors in the newest form of cryptocurrency! Today we along with repeat guest Clinton Degan listened to early investors Blur's self-titled 1997 album, and we managed to actually squeeze a healthy album discussion in there for once. But then we forgot why we were actually doing this and started talking about digital milk. You know how these things go.
68 minutes | Apr 14, 2020
060 - Signals; or: I Wonder If It's Inside Of Me
What a time to be alive! Who would have thought you'd be stuck at home listening to us three wildebeests talk about a Rush album while the entire planet comes to a screeching halt? Welp, hope we can at least provide a smidge of "normalcy" in these insane times. Joining us this week is repeat guest Nate Heroux and his glorious Chapman Stick. Christopher isn't joining the space force apparently, Patrick has to piss, and Jim contemplates his innards. Come along y'all as we dive into Rush's 1982 album, Signals!
53 minutes | Mar 31, 2020
059 - Can't Buy a Thrill; or: This is hard
Patrick decides to subject Christopher and Jim (but mostly Christopher) to another Steely Dan record; their 1972 debut "Can't Buy A Thrill" to be specific. Along for the ride is America's favorite little brother "Steely" Dominic Monafo as we navigate the Dan's surprisingly impressive debut. Other topics of discussion include the eating habits of raccoons, the great state of Florida, and whether there is such a thing as too MUCH horn discussion. This episode brought to you by Stir-it-Up Rice.
