A few weeks ago, I wrote the post My Top 3 Forums for Winning Betting. In that post I ranked AsktheBookie.com No. 3 and now I have Dirty from Ask the Bookie on my podcast.  As I mention in the podcast, Ask the Bookie is quickly becoming my favorite forum to post at. The members and knowledgeable, the Mods are great and they have a bunch of prized that you can get without signing up at a sportsbooks - something I didn't even know.  On this episode of the Odds On Betting Podcast, Dirty and I talk about the forum a bit before breaking down some College and NFL action this weekend. I fully recommend this forum. They are adding new features this year including their own contest platform and poker room. Dirty talks about some nice handicapping strategies here, such as teasing through 3 and 7, which is like a Wong Teaser. He also mentions that sometimes the odds and lines moves have to do about teaser players and not always the action on the game itself. It is some great insight if you like to look at line movements.

I was supposed to have another guest on this podcast, but Dirty from AsktheBookie.com had to cancel at the last minute. I already rescheduled him for next week and we will talk about both college and NFL action for the upcoming weekend. This podcast is a rehash of my my NFL Week 2 Betting Preview. The thing is that I know that I have podcast listeners that don't necessarily read the blog as much as they listen to my podcasts, so I figured I would do a podcast version of my blog post. Recording audio versions of my blog posts as podcasts is something that I am thinking about doing more often. If you like the idea, or even if you don't, let me know in the comments below. On this show of the Odds On Betting Podcast, instead of talking about betting strategy and tips, I preview two games with handicapper Tommy "Tobacco Road" Messina from InsideVegas.com.  Tommy and I talk first talk about the South Caroline/Georgia match-up. While I tried getting him to give his pick out, he did say what the key of the game is and what Georgia has to do to come away with the win. We end the show talking about the Seattle Seahawks/Carolina Panthers game on Sunday. Again, I try to lead Tommy into giving his pick, but instead offers some nice insight into the match-up. I am proud to announce the relaunch of the Odds On Betting Podcast.  I had a short lived podcast a couple of years ago. I actually really enjoyed it and I truly believe it is a great way to get information out whether you Liked OOB on Facebook, follow me on Twitter or are a regular reader and subscriber of my blog.  With that in mind, I am relaunching the podcast and starting with a show from the original podcast.... In this show of the Odds On Betting Podcast I talk about betting mindset. It might sound a little zen-like, but I think your mindset equates to winning.  You have to be focused and confident.  However, becoming over confident can be a downfall and make you step into an uncomfortable betting style. Just like in almost anything your do, your confidence and attitude can reflect in your betting.  Betting is more than picking winning picks.   Though many don’t talk about it, your mindset, when it comes to betting, can be the difference between being a winning or losing bettor. During this podcast I get into a zen-like discussion about how your confidence and personality is reflected in your betting.  Depending on how you harness this can determine how successful you will be.
