Is there dirt in your well? Our wells should be clean. A lot of people in this day and time have city water. Water that’s treated and stored in large towers to supply the pressure. However, there are still those of us that have had a well dug for their source of water. City water has a taste to it often chlorinated and many dislike it. A well that’s dug if its source is good has no taste. Cities and communities were often built around a good water source, a well. The church building is likened to a well-house that is covered and protected to keep the water clean. Many gather in the building to drink from the well. We all have a part to play to keep the well clean. We also have a well within us and we must also keep it clean and not contaminate other wells. We have a responsibility to keep our wells clean and to make sure it’s producing clean water. We all have a responsibility to keep our church up. It’s not your church or the pastors but, OUR church. The church is the well in the community, the life-giving force. When the well dried up then the community had to move to another source. If you neglect your well then the enemy will come in and try to fill it in. The devil's greatest desire is to fill in the “wells” of the world. Many wells have been dried up and yet people still attend them thirsting for the living water. It’s a dangerous thing when our attendance becomes sporadic and we begin to break the covenant of the church. Some go week to week without drinking from their well. Those that are part of this church know where it’s at. They haven’t forgotten where it’s at. There are times when we neglect the upkeep of the well and dirt comes in. Just because there is dirt there doesn’t mean the well can’t be used. We must do the hard part and get the dirt out of our well. If someone’s well has been filled in then others with clean wells can offer their clean water. How many times have we heard the Spirit of God tell us to repent and yet we turn a deaf ear to Him? The devil doesn’t want you to clean out your well. He would rather you just sit back and leave it alone. If you just take the effort and ask God to help you to clean out your well, then He is faithful to help. How many people needed a drink from your well this week? Is your well clean? Were you able to give them a drink of clean water? How’s your well doing, is there dirt in it? It’s our personal responsibility to make sure our wells are clear and clean of the filth of this world. One can certainly take a drink from someone else’s well but this will not sustain you forever. We must have a clean well of our own to draw from.

Are We Doing What We Can?
A personal commitment, are you doing what you can? There are times when you hear the Word and it doesn’t move yet, there are times when we hear it and it moves us. If you ever get to a point and feel that you’re as close to God as you can get, then you’ve believed a lie. The Cost of Serving God Matthew 16:24-26; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Samuel 24:24 Currently, in this country we are free to worship anything however we want. There are some who once they wake know that there will be a cost when they chose to worship God. There’s not a person here that doesn’t have a responsibility to God. There should be a stirring in your soul for a willingness to do what you can for Christ. There are things in our lives that didn’t cost us anything. However, there are things that are of a great cost. One can live a life dedicated to a carrier, hobby, or life yet in the end it means nothing. The things in this world will lose all value at the end times. So you can say you’ve got problems, welcome to the human race! We all have problems, this is nothing new. What are the requirements for following God? We live in a country where we are all free to worship whomever and whatever we want. Someone had to pay a price for that freedom. Back in 1932, there were a few people that paid a price to build a church for people in our community could come together to worship God. Then, in 1968 they decided again to rebuild a larger, better building for believers to worship and the lost to be saved. These men and women when it was hard to give, gave what they could for the building of the churches. Most if not all of those people are gone now and were willing to be instruments of God for those they don’t even know. God is not going to call you to do something that you can’t do. This goes against His nature. Yet, there is a price tag for serving Christ. There is a great urgency for souls right now. We should be doing whatever it takes to have as many souls saved as we can. We say we need God, our people need God, and we are desperate for God, but are we really? Peter a fisherman by trade dropped his nets, forsaking it all just to follow Christ. Many, many men of the Bible gave it all including their lives to proclaim Christ. We need people that are willing to work for God. Have you short-changed Him? Are you just giving a little of your time to Him on Sunday morning? A woman that we don’t really know who she is. Many have different viewpoints of who she is but at the end who she is or was doesn’t matter. What she did was not required of her. She looked around and found something that she had of great value. She worshipped Christ by “washing” His feet with her tears something that no one else had done. If you have anything in your life that is more important than God, then it is a god to you. What is more important than Christ? Friendships, job, wife, husband, children, or possessions? If you value any of those things above God then He will not honor it. This woman didn’t care about anything or anyone there but her Christ. If you are waiting on Him to tell you what to give, you’ve missed the point. Do you honestly think that God needs you? He can and will do whatever, whenever, and however He wants to with or without you. He is God! She brought something that was very precious and of the greatest value to her. We are more worried about what we get or have than what we give away and it’s what we give that’s more important. Do you think God saved you by accident? You’re male, female, child, old, or young, do you think God can’t use you? He used a donkey! This woman gave her precious ointment and didn’t even know what she was doing other than doing something in honor. We don’t know what it’s going to be required of, that great price, but we must be willing to give it all. What you have to offer is purposeful. The ointment was purposeful but let's look at the box. It was made of alabaster which is soft enough to be carved and was frequently used to decorate pal...

God is all about opportunities. Throughout the Bible, we read story after story about men and women with problems in their lives. Problems that they couldn’t do anything about. But there came a man one day named Jesus and gave them their opportunity to be made whole. We too have an opportunity when Christ invites us. We all have problems in our lives that we can’t do anything about. When Jesus walks by you better take that opportunity to be made whole. One opportunity that’s only promised one time is salvation. If you pass up that opportunity then you’ll be refusing your chance to spend eternity in Heaven. John 5:25 If you take the opportunity to be saved then you will die you will see His face in Heaven. Don’t miss your opportunity. Romans 10:13 If you’re a Christian and let the devil ride your back, take the saddle off. He only has as much power over you as you let him have. If God tells you to raise your hand, take the opportunity to do it. If you told God you didn’t want Him in your house or life then what do you think is going to happen? The devil will come into your life and destroy everything.

The Healer Is In The House
How long have we all laid around in our own sins and sicknesses? How many times have you been in the pool but it wasn’t troubled? Will you be made whole? If you have something in your life, God knows it, if He asked if you wanted it removed would you accept it? The day one gets saved is a day that you will never forget. This man that laid by the pool had laid there for 38 years. Then the healer came by and ask if he wanted to be healed. He accepted the offering and was made whole. John 5:9 The world looked at this man after being healed and told him he didn’t do it right. It was the sabbath and works were not to be done. Yet Jesus healed this man regardless of the day. Do you realize that the world still to this day tries to hinder God's work? Sometimes a parent can hinder God's drawing work on their child. Have you forgotten that you’ve been made whole? The first thing this man did was go to the temple to honor his God. Many people today have forgotten what God has done for them and refuse to go to God’s house to honor Him. Salvation is not an excuse to sin. Teach your children the truth. There are some so-called churches that teach the children that if they signed a card to be saved they can then live their lives however they want and still go to Heaven. This is a lie straight from hell. The new-age churches will beat the church down that preaches and teaches the blood and the sin to people. These are things that are frowned upon in many churches.

The Kindness of God
2 Samuel 9:3-4; Has God not been good to us? How He loves us even though we don’t love Him. The sun rises every day, we keep breathing and yet we don’t deserve it. He fetched him David went after Mephibosheth and this shows us the kindness of God. God came to us while we had no right to Him. We don’t go to God to get saved but He comes to us and invites us. How would you even get to God if you’re lost? Experience Him There are some that’s never experienced the presence of God yet He’s always around. They attend a church with a powerful spirit and leave untouched. He knows your name God calls you by name and you know it. When He calls your name it will not be with your ear but your spirit you will hear it. You will know it. Fear not God doesn’t want you to be afraid however once you know you’re lost it should terrify you that you could enter Hell and live there forever. You are here, by divine providence for you to hear the word and love of God. A great inheritance We do not have an inheritance before we are saved. However, after salvation, our inheritance is changed to Heaven. Regardless of what you think your inheritance will be once you’ve been saved, it goes way beyond that. Adoption When you are saved, God doesn’t just appoint you to a position to serve, He adopts you as one of His own. Have you believed in Christ? Have you ever wondered, does it not get better than this? Children around us are overdosing on drugs and alcohol. How sad. Does it not get better than this? When He comes to you and calls your name, don’t reject His call. For those that are saved, have you ever thought about your inheritance? Think about your life, if your father had millions of dollars what you could inherit. If you’re saved, that million means nothing at the time of your death. Heaven, a place that’s made of precious jewels that the streets we will walk on are made of pure gold. One answer as to why he would call us one of His own, Grace. There is no value that one can place on Christ and what took place at Calvary. God gave His ONLY begotten son so that WHOSOEVER would believe in Him will be saved. David couldn’t fix his feet which made him a cripple forever. A cripple is what we are as long as we are here on this earth. A cripple is someone that relies on someone else’s mercy and help. Just like a cripple, we as a saved person is relying on God’s mercy and help therefore we are forever grateful. There is never a time that He’s never there. Always there, always helping, always giving help, and always showing mercy.

Step Inside The Tomb
John was an eyewitness to the event. It was important that they did the simple thing of making an effort to go to the tomb of Christ. They took additional splices and ointments to the tomb of Christ according to their customs of the time. If an obligation brought you to church then thank God. They felt obligated to wake up early and make the journey to the tomb of Christ. It wasn’t an accident that they did these things because God had it all planned out way in advance. In verse 2 we see that they found the stone had been rolled away from His tomb. The obstacle was moved before they got there. Just as us attending church there are obstacles that try to keep you from attending. Think about the things that try to keep you out of the church, there are always numerous obstacles. In verse 3 we see that they entered inside the tomb. There is a difference between just looking in and going in. The world is full of so-called believers. They claim to be saved but they’ve never been changed by God. One can claim it all day long but you must be Born Again. The preacher could shake your hand all day long and tell you that your baptism and prayer got you saved but that would be a lie. Out of fear and doubt how many have turned their back on God? Standing on the outside looking in yet for whatever reason fear, shame, or doubt is keeping you from coming in. Some people are quick to jump yet can’t go all the way. They act excited to be invited to church yet can’t seem to follow through. John was one that was quick to run to the tomb, so fast in fact that he beat the others to the tomb. Yet, he stood outside of the tomb and refused to enter in. All he had to do was to take the next step and he was inside the tomb. How many people run or make it to church yet are just one step away from a breakthrough? When it comes to salvation, close will not do. Inside the tomb was the folded napkin that covered Christs' face, a clear indication that He was coming back. This message was on the inside of the tomb and they had to go inside the tomb to see this. Peter went inside and he saw this napkin. No one can be saved or go into the tomb for you. It’s a personal experience. Once Peter went in, John followed, saw, and believed. Standing on the outside he didn’t believe but once he stepped inside, he believed.

The Greatest Message Ever Heard

He Paid It All
This reading is in the week before Christ’s crucifixion. The people loved Jesus so the others that were jealous of Him didn’t want those to come against them. They plotted against Him to take Him in the darkness of night. Christ was blameless, innocent yet they wanted Him to carry all blame. Jesus was in Simon the leper's house and a woman came with a great-priced ointment. She anointed Christ for His burial and the others criticized her for wasting such a high-priced oil. They felt they had better use of it but Jesus explained to them that she had anointed His body for His death.
